Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I have only had the grill one year and I had to replace the grates! $92.00 Grill is under a covering, RUST!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cooks and conducts heat evenly The grates that came with the grill lasted about 15 months always under a roof covered patio. The replacement grates are identical and work well. I believe I have identified the issue that causes these grates to eventually corode and disintegrate: when there are temperature fluctuations outside, these grates sweat badly from changes in temperature and humidity. Without persistent care (keeping them greased at all times) these grates are expensive and highly susceptible to corrosion.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grates are rusting and separating I keep the grill under cover. I use it very often. The grates are garbage, too bad, because I like the grill. Only had it a year. $90 for new grates??!!

I bought the grill model 467300915 but it only includes the infrared cooking grates and not the regular ones that I understand should be on the top of the infrered ones.  Is that ok?  Can I cook directly over the infrared cooking grates?

    Asked by: Gorby
We apologize for any confusion. Your grill only has infrared cooking grates. It does not have emitter trays.

Is there a stainless steel option in replacement grates for this grill?  We've used our grill about three times, and grates and emitters are rusted.

Can the infrared grill grates and emitter be removed and this grill converted to the conventional style grates ? Less than a year and all of the emitters are fouled and the grates are rusted. Remains under a cover

We do not recommend attempting to use convection parts if your grill is designed to be TRU-Infrared. Doing this can negatively impact the performance of the grill. How are you normally cleaning your grill? We recommend a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable grill cleaner. Seasoning the grates with canola oil will also help to keep food from sticking and prevent rust. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to best assist.

I used my grill for the first time and it cooks great, but what is the best way to clean the grates and the infrared grate? I used the tool provided, but the infrared after just one use was really a mess.  Can I use oven cleaner on them, or a scouring pad
