Cooking Grate Infrared Emitter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 Burner Stainless Steel Grill I "turned" a regular two burner grill into an infrared grill by purchasing 2 infrared emitter plates online & affixing them to my new stainless steel grill. I believe the learning curve to learn how to cook various meats is fairly steep. Some hints from Char Broil would have been helpful. I did some guessing when I first cooked 2 fillets...they turned out very well and were indeed moist and very tasty. I guessed right...now for some chicken, pork chops & fish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is okay to grill on and I have been doing okay with grilling various types of meats on it. One thing that I find is that I have to clean the emitters more than I thought I would have to, and find it would be easier with the wire brush designed to fit those grooves. Note: I have been a Char-Broil user a long time, I had a Big Easy cast aluminum gill that I used for over 10 years was a great grill, just had to give it up do to parts finally wearing out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tolerances need to be tighter Got a commercial infrared 3 burner. Had to modify the emitter grates to expand the width so that the bottom lips would overlap and stay overlapped to prevent flare ups. I do this by bending the side flanges out slightly thereby widening the overall width of each emitter by about 1/16". Now they stay put while moving food around. I think the emitters should be made slightly wider simply by increasing the width of the bottom flanges. Otherwise a great grill.

Is it common for the stainless emitters to rust after one year of use? I had this grill preassembled at Lowes and had noticed that the center burner had no heat tent. Will this damage anything? Also the left side shelf get super hot any fix for that?

    Asked by: Bob52
With routine cleaning the infrared emitter should last quite a while. The center burner should have a heat tent as well. If any parts are missing or you have experienced issues with your grill please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to best assist.

I have a two burner commercial series infrared grill. The grates have rusted and fell apart. My question is that I want to convert this back to a regular grill. What grates and burners do I need or do you have a combo pack for this. Thanks.

    Asked by: Bubbaduke
We're sorry to hear this. If your grill is designed to be an infrared model it will not work properly with convection parts. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and provide us with the model number for your grill. We will be able to best assist.
