SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
We're actively working to reduce the waste of natural resources and/or shrink our overall carbon footprint through proactive measures including:

  • A commitment to operational environmental stewardship
  • Helping our customers be more environmentally friendly when buying and using our products
  • The design of our products

Here are some specifics:

  • We have recycled grills for the last 3 1/2 years.
  • In 2009 alone, we diverted 320,000 lbs. of metal from landfills, thus avoiding 54,400 cu. ft. of landfill space.
  • A continuous commitment to improving designs has allowed our customers to better maintain their grills, thus extending the life of their products.
  • Significant fuel efficiency (savings) and carbon dioxide reduction have been realized through the introduction of our proprietary/patented Infrared cooking technology vs. conventional/convective systems:
  • Since 2004, Char-Broil has utilized boxes in our Parts & Accessories and Warranty/Consumer Direct Fulfillment operations made from 100% recycled materials.
