INGREDIENTS
6 slices bacon, cooked
1 lb ground beef sirloin
1 lb ground beef chuck
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp onion, chopped
1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp white mushrooms, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preparation
Chop bacon into small pieces.
Combine the beef, bacon, onion, mushrooms, and salt and peppers in a large bowl.
Using your hands, mix well.
Form into 6 patties.
Refrigerate until ready to grill.
Method
Preheat the grill to High and spritz the burger patties with canola or other high heat grilling oil
Grill the burgers for about 5 minutes.
Use spatula to turn and grill for 4 or 5 minutes longer until internal temperature is 160F degrees
