I purchased the oilless fryer because it did everything the oil filled fryer did, but without the expensive oil and the messy clean-up. The addition of the hinged basket makes it an even better product as it is now much easier to remove large roasts or turkeys from the basket. We have had friends over for dinner and they all comment about how well the fryer works.

The cat's meow for turkey roasting
It works great! Doesn't really increase the size of the turkey it will handle very much, (maybe a pound or two) but really helps with the removal of the bird from the basket. The process of removal can be done with tools rather than by hand thereby lessening the chance of injury from a hot bird.

Love the practicality of it. Food is much easier to empty out. Metal isn't as sturdy as I would like. One of the metal rods has already broken off from the support piece. The hooks that keep the hinged door closed could be better designed as it wants to pop open when I lay the basket on its side. But overall it functions well.
