The last 2 Thanksgivings I have used the standard basket that came with the "Big Easy". We usually feed a large number of people and therefore we buy a 17-19 lb bird. It was very difficult to get the turkey in and out of the original basket. We would end up tearing up the bird in order to get it out. Now with the new Hinged basket it is super easy to load and unload the turkey. You do have to be a little more careful when handling the basket that the latches don't come undone until you mean for

I highly recommend this hinged basket if you find yourself cooking birds on the high end of the recommended size 17lbs or more. This will make your process so much faster and with less frustration.

Love the practicality of it. Food is much easier to empty out. Metal isn't as sturdy as I would like. One of the metal rods has already broken off from the support piece. The hooks that keep the hinged door closed could be better designed as it wants to pop open when I lay the basket on its side. But overall it functions well.

There's nothing quite like the char-grilled taste of steaks, burgers and vegetables cooked over charcoal. But firing up a charcoal grill can be a little tedious — and frustrating. It doesn't have to be! Follow these simple steps and you'll be up and cooking in no time.
There is one question that we continue to hear from avid grillers: can you hook up a propane grill to natural gas? You should never hook up a propane gas grill to a natural gas line without first converting it to run off natural gas. Once you do, it's a relatively simple process if you have the proper tools and know-how.
