Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect match to original Although the new burner tubes are different part numbers, they appear to be perfect matches to the originals. I was unable to remove the remains of one of the two screws that held the two old burner tubes in place. I was also unable to remove any of the screws that held the ignitor electrodes to the old tubes. I installed new electrodes to get the grill operational again but I used some anti-seize compound in the hope that removal will be easier next time. I will try to grind off the heads of the screws on the old tubes to salvage the old electrodes. I also did not use the screw provided to fasten the one burner tube to the grill body. I used a cotter pin so that for the next tube replacement I will not have to battle corroded remains of a screw in a threaded hole. For the other tube, efforts to remove the screw using PB Blaster and Vice Grips only succeeded in crushing the screw head while leaving the screw body projecting up from the plate on which the tube rests. I made a clip similar to a large bobby pin from heavy stainless steel wire and used it to clamp the tube to the plate with the screw remnants poking through the mounting hole in the end of the tube Perhaps if anti-seize compound were used during original assembly of the ignitor electrodes removal would have been a lot easier. Also a different fastener for the end of burner tube might be a better choice than a screw in a threaded hole. Grill is Model 463268307. I have not yet had a chance to cook on the grill to evaluate the cooking performance of the new burner tubes but the tubes produced even flames along the length of the tubes during the post-installation test. I try to limit the amount of personal information I provide. I am over 18 years of age. The value of the product is good because it allows me to continue to use the grill after the end of one of the burner tubes (the end with the mounting screw) corroded so much that it fell to the bottom of the grill body and the other tube appeared to be ready to join it soon.

will a replacement burner last as long as original ?

    Asked by: dale 111111
As long as the burner is cleaned properly and often, it will last for years. You can use a nylon bristled grill brush to brush off the exterior of your burners, and biodegradable grill cleaning spray to remove stubborn buildup. From time to time, especially if the grill has not been used in a while, remove the burners from the grill and clean out the tubes using a pipe cleaner, bottle brush, or a wire coat hanger bent into a hook shape. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.
