Cast Iron Grate With Infrared Emitter - Small - 9827385 is rated 3.7647 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cast Iron Grates I love it.....Just put a little olive oil the grates before heating, then cook as normal. The difference is without question. PERFECT sear markings and the flavor is incredible. EXTREMELY JUICY....Way better then restaurant grills. I love cooking on the Charbroil Infrared Commercial Grill. Last year, I could not cook because of issues with my dogs. However, since I re-ordered new parts due to my dogs, AND SOMEWHAT OF THE COMPANIES FAULT. Now, I enjoy it more then ever. If "Charbroil" were to ask my advice to make the grill SAFER and more EFFICIENT, I would.? Grill on America...Russ, in New Jersey

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Customer service for rusty grills They sent me the wrong parts first but they fixed it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great replacement parts Now if they will just send me new burners (lifetime warranty) to go with the $100+ I spent on new (improved design) infra-red emitters and cooking grates, I will be satisfied. Lowes can't retrieve my 2010 receipt, but I definitely bought it new from them. I bought a cover for it a year or so later, which CharBroil should have a record of. If I don;t hear back from them, this will be my last CharBroil grill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cast Iron Grate With Infrared Emitter - Small I replace the original tru infrared grates with the cast iron and infrared emitter and have the same good cooking results, the difference is, this emitters show no rust and are a lot more easy to clean and no need to wipe with canola oil for protection after cleaning

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better cooking surface The cast iron grill with IR emitter is a much better cooking surface than the original. I got an original and cast iron replacements to compare, and cast iron is better. However, I would like to get some emitters separately (without the grill).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Internal replacements for Infared Grill The new parts- Cast Iron Grates for the infared grill are such an improvement from the initial parts...the grill cooks very evenly and now there is no sign of rust like the initial ones....Thank you Char Broil for the upgrades.!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cast Iron Grate & Infrared Emitter The cast iron grate is a big step foreword. Much more heavy duty and easier to clean. The Infrared Emitter seams to be a little smaller not so tight making them easier to remove and reinsert. Both great improvements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grill with tru cast iron grates and infra-red emit I bout this 6 years ago on the recommendation from the fire dept. and Ambulance company. After using it I won't use another and I recommend this too all of my family and friends. Safest grill on the market.

I have model #463436814, 3 burner.  Can you please tell me which replacement emitter/ grates I will need.  Your website could benefit from a breakdown schematic for each grill, and measurements on the parts.  Thank you

Will these work on model 463251414  which has the trough?

    Asked by: JeffHit
This cast iron grate and emitter will not work with the Gourmet Grill, Model # 463251414. The cast iron grate and emitter should only be used with specific grills. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

The box says dishwasher safe.  I assume this is just for the emitter?  Also, no instructions in the box for seasoning the grates.

    Asked by: dallasstarsfan
We do advice against using the dishwasher to clean your emitters and grates. To best clean your cooking grates we recommend the infrared tool made for your grill, as well as our nylon brush.

I have model #463270614 & bought these cast iron grates at Lowe's because my grill didn't come with any. I'm just using the cast iron grates not the emitters that came w/it because my emitters are fine. Is this ok? Is my grill 2 or 4 burner?

    Asked by: Purpie
Your grill is a two burner as distinguished by the two burner knobs on the front of the grill. If you grill was missing grates upon purchase, please either call in or create a case with us to ensure that we get you those missing parts. It is not recommended to use a TRU-Infrared grill without the emitter trays. The grates and emitters work together to distribute the even heating and provide juicier food. Please contact us so that we may guide you on the proper way to use the grill and to replace the missing parts! I have a char-broil model # 463246909, and my emitter is rusted through, and the grate has seen better days. I noticed on the newer models the grate/emitter seems to be a one piece stainless steel design. What part number will fit my BBQ ? Thanks

    Asked by: Don K
The Commercial series uses a stainless steel emitter plate under them to in to create the Infrared heat. The Performance series uses a one piece stainless grate with a built in emitter to create the Infrared heat. I apologize but you can not use a Performance series grate on your Commercial series. We value you as a Char-Broil customer and always want to make sure that you are able to take advantage of all that your grill has to offer. How are your grates normally cleaned? Was a case created with us? Please contact us directly whenever an issue is encountered. Our phone number is 1-800-241-7548 and our knowledgeable grill service specialists are more than happy to best assist.
