Cooking Grate is rated 1.25 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality The grate does not stand well to the high heat. After 3 months the grate started to loose its coating, thus making food stick and rust. Furthermore, the grate warped. The heat distribution is uneven with a few hotspots. The top lid interior has flaked due to the high heat and has extended when open. The swingaway grid does not hold the top lid and the heat has made the swingaway grid not stay in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grates warp. Cannot take the heat of the grill. The set of grates that came with the grill warped after just a few uses. I ordered 2 more, hoping that it was just a bad set of grates. Now the 2nd set has warped. With the concave warping of these grates, it puts the center of them much closer to the heat source than the outter parts of the grate, causing a lot of uneven cooking. These grates are not heavy enough to withstand the heat of the grill when it's heated to pre-heat temperatures, which I like to do for searing purposes when grilling steaks. They either need to be made of thicker material or redesigned with more support. Or replace them with cast iron grates. I really hate spending the money on another set since I've already gone through 2 sets in 2 years.

The grate(s) that came with my original grill purchase are junk. I noticed that in one of your earlier responses you referred to them as "porcelain coated cast iron" Does that mean the replacement(s) are actually cast iron or still just stamped metal

This cooking grate is porcelain. Please provide us with the model number for your grill and we will be able to look up the cooking grates for your grill.
