Information Regarding Use Of Aluminum Foil On Gas Grills

Do not cover grates with aluminum foil or any other material. This will block burner ventilation and create a potentially dangerous condition resulting in property damage and/or personal injury.

    Char-Broil TRU-Infrared Grill2Go X200 - Model 12401734 is rated 4.561 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good unit for it's size and design I like this table top model because I've used many others of the same type and this one works best. The price, on sale, was a good value. Most other makes aren't as well designed and cost lot more, like Weber. This unit also gives a good and spacious cook surface. The only issue is it is hard to get the temperature low enough on for cooking slow or baking. My solution is to prop open the lid to regulate the temp. If you had an adjustable vent or a way to safely open the lid up to 1 to 4 inches it would be perfect. All in all a very nice unit-- it could be the best one available with a few small changes..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little grill Love the grill but the value is poor. I bought the hose to hook to a tank and was using it that way; when I left for my RV trip I desided to use the little tanks. The value woulded shut off. I had to go buy a 5lb tank and hook the hose back up so I could shut the gas off at the tank. The value doesn't regulate the flame eityher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best on the market out there!!!! I bought this just about a 10 month ago for our 3 week trip around the 4 states of Arizona, New mexico, Utha & Colorado. Used it every night of the trip. I am also just about out somewhere every weekend camping. I take it everywhere with me. I am told by everybody who uses it that they are going to buy one as it cooks very well in little time at all. I love this little BBQ & even use it at home when it is just me. I think my home BBQ doesn't like me any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice grill I bought the grill to take in our RV, but liked it so much that I now use it at home. Heats up quick and holds the juices well. Just for your information. I had previously bought a grill pad and it works very well in this grill. Holds in the juices even more. Also I won't mention the well know brand of grill that I have used since 1988 and still have the larger model. Thanks again Walter Floyd Overall, very pleased with new grill

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grill I have ever owned I have bought grill for the patio about every 5 years but I have bought one for camping almost every year. Both were complicated to set up and didn't really work that well. The Char-Broil TRU-infrared Grill2Go has taken the place of both. There are a very few parts and they are easily replaceable and with two quick snaps of the buckles, it it ready to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great grill. I have just went on a three week camping trip and we used it every day. I wish I had bought this earlier, I was buying 1 to 2 cheap ones a season but I don't think I will have to buy another on for a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Infrared works I've had this grill2go x200 for a year now and it works great. Easy to set up, uses large 20 lb gas bottle, lasts forever. Infrared heats to 650F and sears everything perfectly. Crisp outside, juicy inside. Very portable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from x200 infared grill I have own this grill for a year and used to love it. the design, size, durability, lightweight, and many more feature gravitated me to make this purchase. Everything with this grill is perfect except for the way it cooks food. its quite impreesive tgat something so small is so strong. too powerful to cook chicken even on the lowest setting. the grill gate is the worst part of this grill. very hard to clean and doesnt cook well when the slot is filled with drippings from cooking.

Are there any plans for a folding rolling stand such as the one weber offers for the Qgrill? After reading of the multiple regulator problems I wonder why there is not a recall? I just bought one from lowes and I hope it wasn't a mistake.

Is it normal for this grill to heat up to 600 degrees when turned to the lowest heat?  If so, how do you cook things like chicken? or items requiring a lower longer heat?

    Asked by: frustratednewowner
Try preheating the grill at the lowest setting and working the temperature up from there. These "on the go" grills are meant to heat up quickly and stay hot. They are perfect for tailgating or when you are in a hurry. If you continue to have this issue, please create a case with us so that we may gather information on your grill that will lead to the resolution:

Just ordered one.  What are the dimensions of the grill grate.   I want to see if other accessories might work with it.  Like a flat griddle.  Could be an accessory that could be designed to make it even more  versatile.

I just purchased an x200 grill from Home Depot online in June. We just went camping over the weekend and used it for the first time. The gas regulator leaks and doesn't shut off. How do I get this piece replaced?
