Grilling out? Best thing you can do is buy a reliable thermometer to test your food. Make sure everything you cook reaches the safe internal temperature of 165°F. Just eyeballing it won’t help because uncured red meats – including pork – can be pink, even when the meat has reached a safe internal temperature. Also make sure you rest your meat before you measure the temperature. Rest time temperature remains constant or continues to rise, which helps destroy germs.
