Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I was looking for the book to inform you of how to set your dial on the Big Easy since it doesn't seem that nowhere tells you to on anywhere. It's just a book with about 10-15 recipes for the same type of meat....for example 10 turkey recipes, but not one recipe tells you what to set the dial to. It doesn't say set at the highest range, the middle range, nor the lower range. That's what I was hoping for and didn't get it. I'm actually in the process of returning it because of that because you can find different turkey recipes anywhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Definitely not worth the money I bought this cookbook hopefully to get some more information on using my big easy. The directions that came with it were not clear at all on temperatures or settings to use. The cookbook is no more useful than the original directions that came with the cooker. Save your money and look up videos on YouTube. I found that to be much more helpful and much more informative than the cookbook or the directions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outdoor cooking done quickly I bought this back in 2013.Have made numerous turkeys in 2 1/2 hours for 15 lb.Its nice to be able to have turkey in the summer without putting the oven on.I have made ribs, chicken, sausages, & numerous roasts.I find myself using it more than my char-broil grill.Best $100.00 I have ever spent. My favorite recipe in for spare ribs.

Well the turkey skin get crispy like a deep-fried turkey, and how about chicken if you batter the chicken will it get crispy also

Asked by: hooker
Yes, the skin on the turkey will get crispy. It normally takes about ten to fifteen minutes per pound to cook a turkey in the Big Easy. We recommend using a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature of the turkey. Make sure it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You will want to leave the lid off until about the last 15 minutes. We do not recommend battering any food when cooking in the Big Easy. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

How many minutes per lb for a prime rib roast. And what kind of rub do you suggest.

Asked by: papa c
It normally takes about ten to fifteen minutes per pound to cook a prime rib roast in the Big Easy. We recommend using a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature. This roast should reach an internal temperature of 145˚ F. The outside of the roast can be seasoned with salt and pepper or a Creole rub.
