Rated 1 out of 5 by nette12 from Please, Please, Please HELP! I purchased Char-Broil Grill Model #13301565 one year and two months ago and only used it two times with proper care and using Char-Broil Grill Cover. I wanted to use it today which is the 4th of July as I am writing, but can not because I notice that my Grates and Ash Pan are rusted. I am "Very Disappointed" because I like to take care of items that I buy, especially big purchases in which I do not have money to up and replace. These parts should have withstand being outdoors for the purpose in which it was made for. I had to cancel my BBQ and disappoint guest who where invited. I really did not want to put a rating at this point beacuse the parts that I need replace, without them there is no purpose for the grill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BrCook from Grates to short I purchased the grill new and the grates are to short. They hardly sit on the lip and will fall in if not careful. Also rusted soon after.I put cooking oil on them and used a nylon brush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Alex G from FL from Grates are a piece of junk I bought the grill a year ago at Lowes... I followed the instructions and seasoned the grates, etc. It was now time to clean them... so in the self cleaning oven.... They are now falling apart. I called customer service.... $27 per grate.. x4. Ridiculous. I was offered a 15% off on the grates... Will buy other brand for sure.

I cleaned and seasoned my grates right before I stored it under my covered deck along with a grill cover over the winter. I took a look and the grates are completely rusted over. Can I put these in a self cleaning oven to remove the rust?
We're very sorry to hear this. We value you as a Char-Broil customer and want you to enjoy using your grill. We do not recommend putting this grate in a self cleaning oven. Has a case been created with us? Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to best assist.
