How do you "season" this expensive part (replacement of 3 costs as much as the grill) to slow down rusting?

    Asked by: Jockey
To season we recommend applying canola oil or another high heat oil to the cooking grates and turn the grill to the high setting for about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Is there a reason 3 of these grill grates cost almost as much as I paid for the whole grill?

We pride ourselves in our products and work to keep the cost as low as possible while still providing an excellent performance. Give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

I am looking for replacements for 3 grates on gas grill 466320509. Your website says this grate replaces those grates but it is a wider grate than on our BBQ.  Is there another product that would replace grates that measure 8" wide by 16 3/4" long?

    Asked by: holly
The cooking grate for grill model 466320509 is G431-1700-W1. This part number has changed from the original part number, but is still the best fit for your grill. These cooking grates are available for $41.99 each.

I am looking for a sturdier grill than the one that came with my bbq; it rusted out in less than a year. What is the material of this grill and the size. My charbroil  model # is 463440109.

This grate measures 16.8"L x 9.4"W and is made of porcelain. To best clean your cooking grates we recommend a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable grill cleaner. Seasoning the grates with canola oil will also help to keep food from sticking and prevent rust. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.
