Rated 2 out of 5 by papowell from Disappointed Seems the issues I've had are common & consistent. The grates on our grill also rusted by the end of the first year and this second year we have have to scrape rust off each time we used our grill. We are now using a grill plate also. The tent covers are disintegrating, literally, and the burners are also rusting. It will cost almost as much to replace the rusted parts and what we paid for the whole grill.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mann27 from Bad feature Each grate rusted at the edges by end of first year, this is second year and they need to be replaced. I am now putting a grill plate on top of plates to cook the food. The carryover tubes also rusted out and I have replaced. I have no problem with Charbroil have had used their product before with no problem. Would not recommend this model.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JD in SD from Porcelain grates I bought a CB model 463441513 two years ago and the porcelain grates and heat shields are rusting apart. I use the grill about 3rimes per month. Can I use cast iron grates and stainless heat shields?

Rated 3 out of 5 by mkirbysplace626 from rusted cooking grate Absolutely love this grill, except for the fact that, like everyone else, once the grate started rusting it spread quickly. Cooks fast and love the way the heat distributes. This is my 3rd propane grill. First was a $600 Char-broil, second was cheapy model, now this model char-broil (better than the others). Went back and stay with this brand because have never had any problems till now. So am disappointed bacause i feel this is not living up to the reputation or your company. Cleaned regularly and kept coved. Is there a cat iron replacement grate that would fit? Thank you

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mid8night from Disappointing about the rust to the grates I believe the rust is due to the amount of heat this grill produces. For that, and the price, I am somewhat happy with this grill. In the summer I use the grill about 3 to 5 times a week. My hope when I bought it was it would last 5 years. I'm going on my third year and now and I'm starting to see some rust. I'm replacing all the grates and I'm hoping I can get one more year out of the heat tents even though they could use replacing. So far the burners seem to be holding up. I'll probably open a case with Char-Broil but I don't expect it will do much good. Maybe if enough cases are opened by customers, Char-Broil will start making better parts for their products in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rawise from Very poor cooking grates A bad product. Many reviews say the same thing, mine is less than 2 years old and like everyone else its rusty and flaking porcelion even though it has been cleaned every time after use. instead of a fix we get no solutions and need to spend big money foe replacements!!!

My grates rusted as well and the enamel now flakes off on the food. Would love to find a cast iron grate to replace. Is there any cast iron grates that would fit this model?
