Rated 3 out of 5 by jaytango from Very hard to clean! I have the T-36G5 - Model 463234413 grill. While the quality is very good and these grates do look very high-end, the amount of time it takes to clean is unbearable. The little holes always get blocked with carbon and it takes forever to steel-brush them clean. 90% of the time I can't get all the holes unblocked. Once I tried doing each hole with a toothpick and quickly realized it would take forever. If I can find a replacement traditional grate that will fit my grill I will definitely purchase them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by fsucrazy from Terrible. Cannot keep clean. Cooks great...the first time. I have grilled for years and years and I've never had this much trouble keeping grates clean. Seasoned them according to instructions, did everything I could to prevent rust. Still rusted in less than 3 months. Went online and found every consumer review of the product mentioned that they cannot be kept rust free. Owned it for a year and now the grates are absolutely unusable. Very disappointed. Replacement cooking grates will set me back $100 for a set...not sure the grill is worth replacing the grates if they will just rust out again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tennessee rooster from stainless steel cooking grates I have owned my grill for less than 1 year and when I purchased it I followed all the directions for seasoning the grates with canola oil, but still they have rusted beyond cooking. I do not recommend anyone purchase this type of grill.

Rated 2 out of 5 by julie06 from very hard to clean We purchased this grill as it looked "higher end" than others, it has been a nightmare to keep clean, we have to take the grate off ever time to clean and brush, I am on this site to see if I can find a traditional grate to replace the one it came with, so we can continue to use the grill without all the pre-cleaning that has to be done. yup seasoned and cleaned prior to use in the beginning and gave up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by asvan from Impossible to clean I bought this grill last Thanksgiving (2014). I seasoned the grates per instructions. I have diligently tried to keep the grates clean but it is hopeless. I am in my 70's and have owned a number of grills in my time but have NEVER had so much trouble after having spent so much time trying to maintain it. The little holes, regardless of cleaning methods, are impossible to keep clear. Serious design flaw to put out a consumer product that is impossible for a consumer to keep in working order. Typical response by Char-Broil on this forum seems to be to ask if a case has been started. I see no link here to "start a case". I see no footnote stating how to start a case. I bought what I thought would be a grill that I could use for years. I did not buy one that would make it some kind of 'treasure hunt' to find out how to remediate this kind of basic problem. Would have been far better to have saved the $. I could have purchased a number of 'throwaway' grills each of which would have lasted longer and each of which would have replacement parts available at a quarter of the cost.

Are there conventional grill grates that will fit this model? I've had this grill less than 2 years and the infared grates are rusted and falling apart. I want to replace them with high quality conventional grates. Thanks, Brett Williams
