Cooking Grate, Ir is rated out of 5 by 60.
Rated 1 out of 5 by sportsman600 from Should be called rusty steel not stainless!!! Very disappointed in the grates and infrared trays. Covered in rust after the first season!! I can buy a new grill for the cost of replacing these parts! I always clean the grates before and after grilling and oil before and after. The use of a nylon brush does nothing. And why the broken record about this...the grill comes with a metal scraper, and included an order form/ad for a metal brush. I'm going back to a custom built $400 grill. Last one lasted 10 years with true stainless grates!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jules66 from 2nd season need all new parts! I bought this grill from Lowes, this is my second full season of using this BBQ. After the first season, it started to rust. I use it about 3-4 times a week and keep it covered throughout the year. The grates get seasoned and food burnt off prior to and after use. They are now all rusted through including the Bottom part that the grate fits into, actually all three of the bottoms have broken and are just sitting snug to stay in place. Based on the cost of the items that need to be replaced it is almost the full cost of the BBQ, just not sure if I can go that route by replacing the flame cover, grill grate and infrared grate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SaintNinja from I have had my Commercial series for 4 years as well and have used it 1 to 5 times a week through out the year. I am also replacing mine due to rust, but can't complain about the life span. Especially since it is outside in 30 degree winters and 100+ degree summers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tetanus Shot from Stainless with short lifespan. Grille cooks great but it's a waste of money to buy a "stainless" grill because my rotted out in under a year and my grille was covered and kept dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Teacher from Rusted out I see that I'm not alone. I'm trying to decide whether to order replacement parts or just buy another grill. I do like the way the grill cooks. The switch button broke in the first year and the trays have rusted through over the last couple of years, but I've used it a lot and am basically happy with the way it cooks.
