Deluxe Charcoal Box Grill is rated 3.5758 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy At Best Cannot move it without something coming loose. Metal is thin enough to be bent with two fingers. Had to purchase additional fasteners and screws from a hardware store as many were missing from the parts package. Extremely beat-up from factory packaging. Only thing of quality is the grates. I will not buy another Char-Broil product. I would not recommend this or any other Char-Broil product to another buyer. Sorry I purchased it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak support brackets I bought this grill a few months ago. Recently I assembled the grill and conducted my first cooking project. The grilled cooked brilliantly but as a raised the coals the charcoal tray kept falling. The problem is the L-shaped-bracket near the level that hosts the infrastructure that controls the tray elevation isn't strong enough to support the weight of the coals. The Brackets has to be stronger for the design to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST CHARCOAL GRILL YOU CAN BUY!!! I bought this grill for my husband (we already had an older model ). He absolutely loves it! He says so every time he uses it. It has so many great features. You can adjust the height of the coals with just a crank. You can completely pull out the ash pan to dump it.The grill racks are covered in porcelain. It has 4 wheels instead of 2. Hooks to hang your tools on yet you can fold down both side shelves. Not to mention the temperature gauge. I got free shipping. We love it so much I bought my sister and her husband one too. Just do not order it for a surprise. Mine showed up at the front door with a big picture of what was in the box on the front (was supposed to be a surprise however I couldn't have carried it even if I had wanted to (heavy).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So, so, but not a sturdy grill. Not happy with the quality. 1. It is rusting already! 2. The metal is thin and the unit is beginning to warp especially where it is screwed together and along the edges of the pull out / clean out ash drawer. 3. The unit is getting wobbly. 4. The instructions to assemble the unit are confusing and difficult to follow because of so many small parts that aren't clearly identified. The instructions appear to be written by someone whose native language is NOT English, too. 5. To assemble unit, two people are needed. Even with that, we found the process laborious, frustrating, and very time consuming. It took several evenings to complete assembly. 7. You need lots of room to assemble the unit. Because it was still cool outside, we did it inside our house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Initial Thoughts I purchased the grill from B.J.'s for $129.95. First thought was this was a great price for this grill. I read some reviews before making the purchase and decided there is nothing that would discourage me from the purchase. I got it home and put it together with one other to help. We had not trouble getting it together. It took us about 1-1/2 hours to put it together, not rushing the job. No parts were missing. The directions were clear. I would recommend to revised the manual so the parts illustration is on the same page as the parts list for English. You have to flip the page over. The steel is not heavy gauge, but it should be ok if I am gentle with it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Charcoal Tray Rusted and flimsy Rating poor only for the charcoal tray as it rusted after being put away covered in my shed from last years use. No to mention it is so flimsy when the charcoal is added on to it it drops down on its own when it is leveled high.

Hi...just purchased the Deluxe Charcoal Box Grill MODEL #12301672 and completed assembly.  The cooking grates seem a little small.  They do not fit snug into the firebox.  They slide around quite a bit top to bottom and side to side.  Is this normal?

Hi...I have the deluxe box grill and I'm looking for a cover for it. The covers available don't have space for the chimney. Is there a grill cover that would fit it? Thanks!

Asked by: adamweinstein
The Heavy Duty XL Smoker Cover should work well to protect your grill. This is model # 5784960 and it is available on the Char-Broil site.

How do you smoke a large tall piece of meat, like a turkey or a chicken, when the heating rack is in the way.

Asked by: fjones53
The warming rack can be removed so that larger foods can be cooked.

Asked by: Fritz son grill
This grill should be fully constructed and used as a standalone model. We cannot recommend building it into a structure. Doing this will block the dampers on the firebox and not allow for proper airflow.
