Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install My original failed after 2 years. So I went online and bought the replacement part. It was quite easy to install and worked perfectly. The price was reasonable as well. I just hope it lasts longer than the original.

My electronic igniter quit working on my grill model 463230710. Is this the part I need to replace?

    Asked by: Danny2495
We're sorry to hear this. Has the battery been replaced? This is the correct electronic ignition module for your grill.

What is the easy way to remove the old module and install the new module?

    Asked by: kennyg123
The easy way is: "Don't bother." Get a long-reach lighter and ignore the built-in fast-fail spark igniters. To replace the ignition module requires taking off side panels and the front burner-control panel, as the engineers at Char-Broil seem to have forgotten about ease of replacement when they were designing this unit. IMHO, there's no way that the multi-hour project of disassembly & re-assembly is merited by the difference between using a long-reach lighter vs the built-in fast-fail spark igniters. p.s. Despite this particular shortfall, I really like my 6-burner gas grill with sear burner and side burner. It's a great value for the price, grills a wide variety of foods with excellent control and results, and has every part available for replacement as needed. Just don't bother trying to replace the ignition module...

How many plug-ins for spark sources does this have? The one I have now has 3 wires going into it to ignite 3 different burners?

    Asked by: grillerguy
Yes. This ignition module has three connections in the back of it.

My module has moisture & rust inside and does not function at less than 6 weeks old. I do not find an o-ring to help seal out any of the moisture. Should there be an o-ring to prevent moisture from getting inside? A case has been created.

    Asked by: TechDPh
The cap for the ignition module should tighten down enough to help keep moisture out. If a case has been created with us we will be reaching out to you soon so that we can best investigate and help to get you back up and grilling.
