Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked for a while This worked for me for a while - probably 1 year and 1 day - just enough for the warranty to run out. It was blazing hot - seared steaks so the juices were locked in - great cooking temps etc., then, it started to wane down. Not so hot afterwards. When I came to this site to see how much a new part replacement would be I see where they make their money....I will go buy a new BBQ now -not necessarily a Char-Broil - but certainly not an infared.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Got my grill back up and running I believe this was a higher price for quite awhile. glad it was reduced. However, other brands offer 3 year warranty. This part failed shortly after 1 year (your warranty) enough said.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solved a big problem. Had a problem with the original element. Five minutes after turning the grill on, the GFI (ground fault interrupter) would trip. New element has fixed this issue.

Replaced the element because it broke. Now when we cook we cannot set the temp setting. No matter what we set it to (1-5) it heats up to the highest setting. Then it will not turn off. We have to unplug it.

The grill stopped heating. Does it need a new element or thermostat? I really don't to buy both.
