Rated 5 out of 5 by from TRU-Infrared 2 Burner Gourmet I've owned other Char-Broil grills and was satisfied with them. The TRU-Infrared is the best yet. The ability to grill chicken, hamburgers or pork chops without having to worry about flair-ups is fantastic. And the clean up is so easy. I will never go back to a conventional gas grill again. Thanks Char-Broil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing in so many ways.... I downsized from a 5 burner w/ side burner etc. mega grill this model for 2 main reasons: 1. I was tired of wasting so much gas heating up a huge grill for usually 2 pieces of meat and 2. I wanted to try/use the Infrared feature this brand of grill offers. On both counts I am overjoyed with the change. I know this is a "small" grill, but it really is not. I can easily fit grilled servings for 6-8 adults, but I almost never need to cook this much. I love the smaller footprint not taking up so much space on my deck. and the TRU-Infrared feature makes a novice griller like me look like an expert!! So far everything I have grilled has been cooked to perfection with no burning or drying out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sear-e-ously! Bought the grill three weeks ago and I have to say this is the best grilling system I have ever used in my 40 years of grilling. I recently fired up some brats for the first time under the TRU method and they seared fast, plump, and to perfection. The sealed in flavors burst in you mouth with every bite. The multiple settings allows everything to sear, grill, or barbeque. There is also a rotisserie setting for that accessory. Based on the cooking results, a 10-minute grill cleanup is a snap. Just make Canola oil your friend, get the right cleaning tools, and follow the cleaning tips. The grill cover fits like a glove and enhances the grill's protection magnificently. This is my first Char Broil grill and if and when I need to move on, a Char Broil will be my only choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grill We bought this grill about a year ago and have really enjoyed using it. If you can, buy it pre-assembled. I could only get it in my car unassembled (I could only get it in by taking it out of the box). It took awhile to get it together. The grill cooks well, and I love the two-part grill--much easier to carry for cleaning. The self-cleaning feature is great, but I don't want the ashy residue on my grill, so I still have to clean that off. There is a shelf on each side that folds up for use and folds down for storage. I highly recommend the grill cover, which must be purchased separately. It's well-constructed and provides good protection. Our grill is outside on our deck year-round, and it protects it from rain, snow, ice, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On our second one! This is our 2nd Tru-System 2 burner model.  Our first was the Lowe's version that did not have a trough but a plate under grates.  It worked well for us for 5 years but developed some corrosion issues, even covered, so we went looking again and decided on the trough style this time.  Used it last night, for first time, and it cooked the steaks as well or better than the other model and even "well-done," cheap, thin little steaks came out fine and left a HUGE puddle of juice.  I am a med-rare guy but they got away from me, haha.  Thank goodness for the juice-saving, searing properties of the Tru-System!  They still tasted great and were very juicy. It may not be the most sturdy but does and excellent job of cooking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Grill I love this grill! The way it was designed is fantastic! I allows me to smoke meats when I want, or to use as a traditional grill. With there just being 2 of us, it is the perfect size. I could have purchased grills with more burners for less money, but the additional burners would never be used, and smoking meats would not be as easy. I have used this grill for everything from burgers, chicken, pork roasts, King crab legs, and salmon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We Have Tried IT!! and IT is great! We finally decided to try the all new "infrared" bar-b-que. Yes we were a little nervous after reading the info. with the unit but everything we saw said. "it's great". Not Quiet true! Yes its cooks 'more moist', it's hotter, and it's a different approach to driveway style grilling. Getting to understand the consequences of 'infrared' is a little tricky. Firstly, it's a grill . end of statement. secondly use common sense, check that the meat is fully cooked the usual way, cut it open. It's when its on the table that you notice the 'real difference' It tastes better: It's more moist (and thats good) especially for pork chops.: It's faster: and once you learn to brush after cooking and then "high heat clean" the grill is ready for another meal. The one danger I would tell all 'chefs', your spouse will expect more of this:beware:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT Change this grill I've been cooking for over 50 yrs. and have had various grills. This is the first one that I really TRUST. There is no way the flame can get out of control and flair up. Because of the unique trough design, I feel safe setting the timer to work on other parts of the meal. I also purchased your cookbook 'America Grills', these recipes are great and I'm trying new things all the time. Never thought I would cook fish and fruits on a grill. My daughter and daughter-in-law have purchased the same book and plan on buying this specific grill. Thank you.

just one thing: . When we pulled it out of our shed, it was necessary to move it over grass. We find that it is very low to the ground and the wheels should be larger diameter, to move more easily, any plans to accommodate this/

Asked by: Qtip
We apologize for the inconvenience. At this time we do not have any plans of making larger wheels for this grill. The wheels are designed to be used on a patio, a driveway and other solid surfaces.

What is the difference between MODEL #463270612 and MODEL #463251414. Where are you located ? Thank you.

Asked by: Monique3
The main difference is the infrared technology used by each. Model # 463251414 utilizes a porcelain emitter trough with cast iron cooking grates. Model # 463270612 utilizes stainless steel infrared cooking grates. Both of these infrared emitter types allow for excellent heat control, a wide range of temperatures and delicious juicy flavors. Obtaining hotter temperatures faster means that less propane is used. Both grill types are equally matched. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to provide more information. We are located in Georgia and are able to ship these grills to you.

The labels on front of the grill indicating the settings of the knobs has worn off. One cannot tell where the high, low, medium, or etc setting are. Is a new decal or something available to replace the original label. .

Asked by: deer

My 2 burner gas tru infrared gourmet ZZT-22Dmodel 463251414 didn't come with any briquettes. Does this model not require them?  Does the start button make a clicking noise when you push it or is it silent?

Asked by: jaelock
Just bought my second Char-Broil Grill.  This one is the 2-burner version is the same as you bought.  No, you do not use briquettes.  This is a propane gas grill and only requires propane fuel.  The "clicking" sound you here is normal,  it is the result of an electrical spark used to ignite the propane gas.  If you ever fail to hear the "click," you r battery needs replacement.
