Gourmet™ 3 Burner Gas Grill is rated 4.2055 out of 5 by 146.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great a I loved the grill at first; controlled cooking with great grill marks and no flare ups. By the third summer of grilling I had to replace the pan due to burn thru holes. I also noticed the flames were shooting out thru burn thru slits of the burners and not the perforated holes. This led to uneven cooking, and wasted gas. I tried to remove the old burners to possibly replace them, but the corroded screws went right thru the corroded connecting base so I didn't order new burners. I always covered the grill when it wasn't in use. I always recommended the grill when I first bought it. Now I don't and am looking to replace it with a grill that is a little more reliable and last more than a few years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this grill, but. This is a great grill. Cooking is even, no flare ups, juicy meat. The only problem is with the trough. I cook a lot and at high temperatures. Cooking at high temperatures caused the trough to warp. This happened under warranty and Char-Broil promptly replaced it. Now it is not under warranty and its happened again. I love the grill, but.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Grill I bought this grill from Home Depot about 2 years ago and have never looked back. I did have some ignition issues last summer after I went on vacation and it sat for about 3 weeks. Home Depot replaced parts for me and it was an incredibly easy fix. The only other down side I have noticed is when cooking greasy foods. I love grilled bacon, the only issue is the grease that collects in the trough, it can sometimes ignite. I have learned when you are cooking greasy foods make sure you are starting with a clean grill, and it can help to lay down some foil to collect the grease and then just throw it away when you are done. Makes for super easy clean up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased The first Char-Broil product I bought was the Big Easy. I can't say enough great things about. Then when I needed a new grill, it only made sense to the an IR grill. So I happened to be in my local home improvement store and saw the Char-Broil IR series. I ended up with the Char-Broil 3 burner IR grill (Gourmet version). I am very happy with the way it cooks. Uses less gas than my last grill and very easy to clean up. Definitely recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great home grill I bought the grill before Memorial Day. I shopped around for about a week and settled on Char-Broil for its positive reviews online and the fact I could get 3 burners and a side burner for the same price as a competing brand's 2 burner (and no side burner). I set it up myself and while I (and the instructions) recommend having at least two people work on it due to weight, assembly really wasn't that difficult. Ignition is a breeze and it heats up quickly. I find cooking to be easy as well and the food remains juicy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOOKS GREAT,COOKS EVEN BETTER After looking at a number of grills by different manufactureres, we decided on the Char-Broil Infrared. I thought it matched up best with the way I have been used to grilling. I have not been disappointed. The very first time I fired it up the food was cooked just exactly the way I wanted. The best part, though, is that it has been even better as I learned how to really use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good grill, could be a great grill if.... I love the grill. I use it in the blazing sun or the blowing snow and it has never failed me. The temperature remains fairly consistent inside the fire box if your quick enough. My only issue is that the due to the heat, even after we only had the grill a month or 2, the trough warped. I take the grills and the trough out to clean and re-coat after 3 or 4 uses and push the trough back into shape. I would like to see a 3rd leg in the middle of the trough to make the piece more durable. It would seem, having read the reviews, that is the main issue with this grill.

In shopping for an infrared system I noticed some of your models have porcelain slotted grates and some have stainless with rows of small holes. Which is better and which is the current technology?

Asked by: hairless
Stainless steel and cast iron both hold up very well. However, we have found that porcelain coated cast iron is able to perform better under high heat conditions. All of these infrared emitter types allow for excellent heat control, a wide range of temperatures and delicious juicy flavors. Obtaining hotter temperatures faster means that less propane is used. Both grill types are equally matched. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to provide more information.
