Gourmet Series™ 4 Burner Gas Grill is rated 4.4478 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good heat characteristics and no flare-ups! I acquired this Char-Broil grill several months ago and have been very pleased with it. The enameled iron grills hold heat well, sear foods nicely, and are easy to keep clean. The grill features curved pans below each grill set that catches 100% of all drippings, virtually eliminating flare-ups. There is ample space on the side table and the side burner works as expected. A very good value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You have to buy this grill before you die The grill is fantastic, although you will have to retrain yourself a bit because of the speed/heat it cooks at. The meats you grill will be juicier than you can ever imagine and even when you make a mistake, like I have, the grill is forgiving in that matter. The mistake is wanting a steak, medium rare, and this is where the retraining comes in, the steak ended up medium well... ruined steak right ?... nope the infrared cooking seared the juices into the steak as advertised and it was delicious. The even heat you get all over the cooking surface is a key also to whatever you're grilling. You will NOT be disappointed if you invest in this grill, it's money well spent plus you save on LP because of the speed/heat it cooks at. If you need a grill, THIS is the one you need to get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wow ! ! wHAT A DIFFERENCE ! ! I've been grilling since before it became chic - - Daddy would build a fire of hickory limbs down by the river, let it burn down to coals and lay a refrigerator shelf on rocks over the coals. Since then (over 70 years), I've burned out a dozen charcoal, later gas, grills. Never quite got my steak right - - until now. The heat is more even on my Gourmet 4 burner, more intense, so I can get that initial searing that seals in the flavor - - immediately lower the heat, finish on the warming shelf, and viola ! ! Fantastic steak. Also does wonders on fish (planked salmon, delicious) - roasts, turkeys, on the rotissere and enjoy. Use it year round and enjoy the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever! Whatever you cook will be tender with lots of flavor. Preheats and cooks faster than any pit I have owned (and I have owned quite a few name brands). A pit with NO flare-ups. Yes this one has NONE. Wood chips for added flavor don't burn away in flame. They char and smoke like a good pit should. TRU-Infrared is the only way to go. Amazing pit. We Texans know a great pit when we see it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bbq'ing weekly now!!! I bought this a couple months ago, and since it started getting warm out weved been using it a few times a week, the infrared works great, I have yet to burn anything, and our chicken comes out perfect everytime! A trick I learned was to set it on clean when I turn it on and it heats up a lot quicker then I just set it to desired temperature after that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Grill, different from other gas grills Great Grill, Easy Cleaning, no flare ups. Got it over a year ago at HD. There is no direct contact with the flame, and it takes little longer that other grills to heat up, but it is worth it. Meat is never dried out, chicken is juicy. I have cooked chicken, steaks, kabobs, veggies all great outcomes. Also, you can throw in wood chips straight on the U shaped bowl under the grates, and get fantastic smoke flavor. 2 complaints: #1 rust on the U shaped bowl, I sprayed it with oil and let it season, but its still rusts. Luckily, Charbroil sent me a replacement Bowl and Grate. #2, when you open the grill to check on your food, it takes longer to heat back up, unlike other grills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a surprise! I assembled the grill alone, im 70, and the instructions were easy to follow and the various parts properly marked. Because it is so wide, I left off the side burner and opposite shelf and wish there were some way to encase the side burner fittings. I was skeptical of the reflectors to say the least. That said, I took two large split chicken breasts with skin on, salted and peppered them liberally, and cranked up all four burners for the first time. 15 minutes later at 600 degrees, I put a chicken breast on for a test. It took about 20 minutes to temperature, with the breast turned halfway through. I took it off the grill, golden crispy skin, beautifully cooked, and let it rest for 5 minutes. Boys and girls, it was the best piece of chicken I ever grilled. I later grilled 4 burgers, and again perfect even cooking throughout, no flame up. They cooked a bit faster than I expected and even overcooked they were still juicy. I am very impressed. I cannot wait for a thick ribeye to grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I got this one to replace my older Red Infrared that still works. Used the first time today and was impressed with the porcelain coated troughs for one thing. Will see how long they last. Had to replace my other one's a couple times. I wanted the troughs rather than the heat emitter pans shown on other grills. Can hold a pile of wood chunks when I want to smoke something. I'd strongly recommend the Gourmet grill to anyone!

I bought the self cleaning grill 4 years ago. The one that was 500.00. I have replaced my grates every year. I am looking to buy a new one but none of them have the self cleaning. Normally I grill enough for two grills.

Asked by: Michael48
We apologize, but we no longer offer grills with the Auto-Clean function. However, many of our grills, such as this TRU-Infrared Gourmet can utilize the burn off technique. This is similar to the Auto-Clean, but the grill will have to be turned off manually after twenty to thirty minutes. Give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

I am trying to buy one of these through NEX, the military exchange. They have a version of this from Charbroil but I can't find it on this website. It's just like this one, but it only has two doors on the bottom, no drawers. How do I find out this model?

Asked by: starksc
Please provide us with the model number for this grill and we will be able to give more information on this grill. This model number should be on the rating label, on the back towards the bottom of the grill, and also on the front cover of the product guide. The model number normally begins with 46.
