Heat Tent is rated out of 5 by 34.
Rated 1 out of 5 by John57 from Rust & Rot I have a two burner gas grill and have already replaced the heat tents once and hey need replacing again. The bracket on the back side that holds the heat tents rusted off so I put a coupl screws to hold them. Now the back wall has rusted through and the screws have fallen off. Loved the grill for the first 6 months then everything fell apart. Poor quality. The grill was cleaned after every use and kept covered.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DallasF from Parts that rust through way too quickly. I purchased this grill two years ago, and now I find myself in the same situation which I see repeated over and over here - the interior parts are completely rusted through and in desperate need of replacement. The drip pan is practically falling in two due to the rust, and at least four of the heat tents need to be replaced as they have holes rusted completely through them. Additionally, I need to replace at least three of the grates as well. The grill has been outstanding - but it won't make a full second season in it's current condition. Like others, I am contemplating spending nearly $200 to repair my current grill, or simply buy a new one for roughly $300. It seems to be a simple decision, and although the grill has been fantastic, I did not plan on replacing it after one summer of use..

Rated 1 out of 5 by TDMaryld from Charbroil gas grill 463440109 rusted on the inside This is my first gas grill. Brought the Charbroil gas grill 463440109. After 1.5 year of ownership the bottom, heat tents and grills are rusted. The bottom of the grill has completely rust through and has seperated from the main part of the grill. Do not understand how the rest of the grill looks new. I also keep my grill covered from the elements. I am upset that I am spending money on new tents and grills so I can get another year out of my grill.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BradWillewy from Rusted out heat tents and cross overs. I en joy it, BUT, heats tents totally rusted out. I was going to buy new ones but not at $10.00 each. Cross overs the same. Not worth buying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pokey L from poor components I bought my grill in June of 2013. I loved the size and preformance. I have to agree with other reviews. I have kept my grill clean and covered, when not in use. The heat tents have rusted through and so has the shield underneath the burners. I suggest using a higher grade material or maybe a heat resistant paint and not powder coat paint. I have to order new parts that I fear will not last. I am considering buying another brand grill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lawman210 from rust, rust and more rust I got my grill last year and loved it for about 6 months. I always keep my grill cleaned and covered. Started with the drip pan rusting all the way through. Then the burner covers not only rusted but fell completely apart. The out side still looks good but the inside looks like something the American pickers would dig through. So after spending all this money on a grill I now have to buy all new parts. It's not like it's 5 years old. I may just get a new one and it probably won't be char-broil.

is the "heat tent" the same as "flame tamer" as shown in the manual we received with our grill?
Heat tents are sometimes called flame tamers or vaporizer bars. This is the part that sits above the burner and protects it from grease drippings.

Like the customer's comments before mine, the grill has been properly taken care of and the tents have completely disintegrated in a short period of time. I would not recommended this grill because of this problem. I already need more tents.
