Rated 1 out of 5 by vince1214 from Hard To Clean Are there any other options for these on the grill for model number 463247311. Way too much work and effort having to clean these after every cooking. Just a grill would be so much better. Its easier to clean the inside of the grill than these ir grates.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mmcclure50 from Poorly designed. Grate housing is difficult to clean. The material used to make the housing doesn't last long before rusting out. This grill has been under cover and covered since it was purchased. I would hope replacement parts are better quality. Next grill will definitely be a Weber if parts only last a couple of years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by pdronks from Disappointed 2 years ago I purchased the Char Broil infrared small 2 burner since it was now just me and the wife, we used it often and worked harder at cleaning this after every single use regardless of what I cooked, anything marinated forget it. So after just 1 year, the burners and the IR Grates had to be replaced, Charbroil gave me a great deal since it was under warranty they gave it to me at half the price, so here we are 10 months later, The entire grill is at the landfill, it didnt last, burners and grates are way to expensive, they are cheaply made and not meant to last, if you use it often this is not the grill for you. It stayed under a patio cover and had it covered, the entire bottom tray rusted or maybe caused by the heat but if you remove the IR grate and look at burners there is no longer a bottom to it. Heck even my BIG EASY Charbroil Oiless Turkey frye regulator just died and the screen cover lid. burned through. I used to be a huge CharBroil fan...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mdrsmail from Poor quality I agree with the other reviews. The trays are hard to clean and eventually fall apart. While cleaning I sustained a few cuts from the metal. When not clean the food takes three times longer to cook. The cost for replacing seems expensive. I'm considering the value of keeping an IR grill because of these concerns.

Rated 1 out of 5 by steelbandit from hard to clean, doesn't last, expensive to replace I've had CharBroil grills in the past and have usually been pleased with them overall. This one grilled great while it lasted, but is impossible to keep clean. The grates rusted despite regular cleaning & oiling. It's been a little less than 3 years since I purchased it & it is going to cost me over $200 to replace the grates & grate housing; and that's not all that needs replaced on it! I was expecting much better quality and a longer life span from this grill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Zatanna23 from Ridiculous to clean and expensive to replace! I bought this product seven years ago thinking this was going to be the grill we would have until the kids were grown. Now I'm wondering whether this product was ever worth the money we paid. The grill grates (part YY) and cooking grate trays (HHH) for all four burners are rusting terribly. We have been good about keeping the grill covered, we followed the seasoning recommendations to prevent the rusting, and we clean regularly. At first I thought this was a gas grill problem (this is the first gas grill we have ever owned); but after reading several reviews, it seems this is a model and design problem with Char-Broil. I'm very disappointed. I'm even more upset to see that replacing these parts would cost me over $200 which could easily be a third of what I would pay for a brand new grill. How can you make this right, Char-Broil? I'm very disillusioned with your product.

can i still use my old cooking grate with pat #3485532
To best answer this we need the model number for your grill. This model number should be on the rating label, on the back towards the bottom of the grill, and also on the front cover of the product guide. The model number normally begins with 46.
