Can this igniter G515-0017-W2A be mounted on the exterior of the BBQ to avoid the heat that inevitably melts the stock supplied G515-0017-W2A for my two-burner grill?

I bought a Commercial Tru Infraredred Gill Model 463241013 from Lowes on 6/5/2014. It has a broken ignition switch, part number G515-0017-W5, ($14.99.) I request that you send a replacement. part, or I will take the grill back to Lowes for a refund.

I purchased a new ignition ignitor module from you and installed it. Still no "crackle" or spark. The ignition switch doesn't look broken. But, can the button and/or the wires be the reason I can't get a spark?
It is very possible that this part could need replaced. Ensure to check that all of your wiring is intact and installed as well as ensure that the battery that you are using is new.
