Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what i needed-works great The redesign of the control knob is much improved. The new heating element is a must as the old one was getting harder and harder to maintain after long-time use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my grill Since my apartment only allows electric grills, I purchased the Patio Caddie in 2004. I still have it and it is the greatest! This summer I was going to fire up the grill and couldn't. The control element went out. I actually threw the grill away, thinking it was totally done. Someone picked up the grill from the pile only to return it the next day because they could not get it to work. Something told me to look up to see if the control element was still available for the Patio Caddie. It was! I ordered the part, went out to retrieve my old grill from the pile, luckily everything was still intact. The part came, I hooked it up, cleaned up the grill, fired it up, enjoyed a steak dinner that night and hopefully I'll have another 12 years with my Patio Caddie. Thanks for everything Char-Broil.

I have an older Model #4654980. The gfi trips immediately upon plugging in the grill. I have tested the outlet and other appliances work. Would this part fit my grill and would it solve the problem?

    Asked by: Gfnj
It sounds like there could be a short in the controller or heating element. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to best investigate this.
