How do I clean my porcelain cooking grates?

Porcelain Cooking Grates

Char-Broil® has designed a special Porcelain Wire Grid Brush to clean porcelain grids without scratching. After you cook, the grill can be turned to HIGH for approximately 5 minutes. Use this brush to clean the porcelain wire grates after grates have “burned off”.

Porcelain Cast Iron Grates

Porcelain Cast Iron Grates included with some Char-Broil® grill models, like Char-Broil® Gourmet™ grills, do not require seasoning. These grates should be cleaned regularly with a heavy-duty grill brush, such as the Brush Hawg Grill Brush or Mega Brush Hawg Grill Brush. You can also soak the grates in a mixture of water and vinegar for a deep clean. Should your grates develop any rust spots brush away the rust and season the grates to prevent rust from forming in the future.
