Oklahoma Joe's Longhorn Offset Smoker - 12201747 is rated 4.1923 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could be much better I bought this smoker due thinking it would be great. It was heavy duty, had plenty of room and just looked all around solid. But then when I used it the first time, I found that the smoker had leaks all over. The door didn't close all the way causing smoke and heat to pour out, it leaked between the connection of the chamber and firebox, it leaked at the smoke stack. The temp difference is 100+ degrees from one side to the other. The temp gauge that came with it doesn't fit right and gives inaccurate temps. I think with a few modifications I have seen others do to it, it might be great. But it's a real dud so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great smoker! Bought this a few weeks ago and since then smoked ribs and chicken and grilled burgers, brauts, and vegetables. Temperature has been easy to regulate and maintain, even when smoking for over 4 hours. Paint on part of the firebox burned off the first time I used it. Some high temp touchup paint fixed that problem. There may have been some oil on the bare steel prior to factory paint. Attaching the legs was a problem. There should have been nuts welded to the inside of the legs to receive the supplied bolts. There were no nuts and the predrilled holes in the legs / smoker body didn't line up. Twenty minutes with a drill and a tap & die set fixed that but this is a quality control / factory defect that shouldn't have reached the store shelves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from # 1 I have had this about a year now ,and I just don't like it ,I had six 5lb pork butts on for 13 hours ,with oak ,hickory logs and kingsford charcoal ,the meat was super rare and had to finish in oven.I have been smoking meat on a smaller brinkman for over 20 years. #2 my next complaint is the first time I used it the paint on the fire box burned off now it will rust faster ,#3 takes a ton of wood to keep temp @220 for 10 hours.I THINK I MAY SELL IT .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good bang for the buck I purchased it a year ago to replace a 2 year old char-broil deluxe offset smoker that wifey got me which finally fell apart. For me this a great smoker with some modifications. I bought the baffle plate & charcoal basket from Horizon, I sealed the leaks between the firebox & coak chamber with a fireplace sealant from Home Depot & the leak at the smoke stack & cook chamber. I found a site that makes rope seal gasket like for oven doors & I will be adding it to the cook chamber ASAP because it leaks heavy near the firebox side. The metal is of good thicknesses & it holds Temps well I also have a 2nd temp gauge at the other end of cook chamber. I highly recommend that you get the cover my only complaint not char-boils fault is that my firebox is rusting & peeling layers of steel. I've been caught without the cover a few times after finishing up & the rain has done it's due.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love The Constuction! My wife bought this smoker for me several months ago. This was the first real smoker I have had. I fired this thing up a couple of weekends ago and did a brisket. I was used to my other small one so It took longer to smoke than I was used to. I have a lot to learn as far as regulating the damper and the smoke stack but overall I loved it. It is well made. I am doing some ribs today so we will see how this goes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid horizontal smoker After doing some web research and spotting this model on sale at Lowe's, I decided to bite on the OK Joe. After adding a baffle from Horizon and a charcoal basket, I was ready to smoke. Since the, I've lined the larger barrel with bricks which helps to insulate and to maintain an even temp. After a little practice, I've been able to cook at a consistent 225-250 degrees. Now if I could just master the brisket!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It Smokes I've owned off set smokers for years now and although this smoker looked HD. Once I started puting it together I noticed lots of issues to come. It leaks like crazy. Theres alot of small cheap hardware that holds this thing together. Will have to weld all the seams and legs solid. Overall it would be a good 5 plus year smoker but to make it fit and ship in a small package ruined it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for large gatherings!! To be honest this is larger than I needed. I liked that it was made of heavier metal than most other smokers I looked at. It takes quit a bit of charcoal and wood to keep the temp up. Which would be ok if using its full capacity but when cooking for 2-4 people you'll use use more charcoal and wood than if you had a smaller one. Other than that I'm satisfied.
