Performance™ 2 Burner Gas Grill is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 115.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to clean, rusts real easy, not built to last I bought this grill last summer, and it was great for the first few uses. The food turned out great! But now, the burners are already rusting, which I will probably have to buy a new grill soon :-( The weld on the door rack came apart, so the rack fell off. The grilling surface is hard to clean since the holes are so tiny and everything gets stuck in them. Any little wind blows out the flame. And the thermometers have stopped working. I am not pleased at all with this grill. It was not worth the price one bit! The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because the food turns out good and it cooks pretty fast, but I'm sure I can find a better, sturdier gas grill that can do the same!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS GRILL I have had this grill almost 3 years now and it is kept outdoors year round. There is no rust on it anywhere and everything still works perfectly. I cook the best burgers and steaks ever....and I have been barbecuing for 40 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST EVER I have owned several gas barbeques. Generally they have been ok, but hard to keep clean, rust out in a few years, and heat unevenly. When I bought this Tru-infrared I suspected that it might be clever product description but not particularly different. I was most pleasantly surprised. I love it, it cooks quickly, meat, poultry and fish stay juicy. The stainless grills are terrific and easy to keep clean. I like the feature where the temperature reading refers to the grill surface rather than the ambient air within the hood. So far I haven't found anything that displeases me about this little wonder. Get one yourself and you'll see!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what advertised.. I followed prep instructions to the letter including vegetable oiling the grill surface before using. Everything sticks to this grill whether using low, medium, or high heat which makes clean up a nightmare with all the food i have to brush off and discard. The little holes are always plugged. I purchased mine at Menards. I think Home Depot has a different grilling surface..cast iron or porcelin, DO NOT purchase stainless steel one with pin holes in it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grill to cook on. I bought this grill last year at Meijers. I was putting it together and found out that some of the ceramic coating was splintered from being dropped or damaged. I called Meijers and asked them if they wanted me to disassemble it and they said to just bring it in. They had another one and they just gave me that one. They also gave me a 20.00 gift certificate for having to bring it back. They were absolutely super about it. The grill cooks excellent. The meat when cooked keeps the moisture in. I found the grates extremely easy to clean. I have recommended this grill to all my friends. The ones that I have had over for cookouts were impressed with the fine job of grilling that it did.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Infrared! I purchased Char-Broil TRU Infrared and thought it would be better then the normal Char-Broil grill. Paid more for Infrared. There is more cleaning issues since the holes on the stainless grill are very small & gets clogged. Also the grill lid is stainless and shows finger prints, etc. Poor choice on my part

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The TRU infrared is great. I bought the CharBroil T-22 a couple of months ago. The assembly was fairly easy, even with some holes that weren't tapped, and extremely tight places for the fingers etc. The instructions were adequate but a couple of places out of sequence for correct assembly. Over all, the grill is a little wobbly, it needs better bracing! A brace in the back should do the trick. It took over 4 hours for me and a lady friend to assemble, but I am 80 years old so I can't fault the manufacturer. Followed the instructions on breaking in the grill (grids) and have enjoyed exceptional cooking ever since. Just remember to clean the grids after each use like the book says.

Really not happy with the infrared grilling surface, I dont understand where the grilling residue should be brushed too, and the residue winds up just smoking everything, my kids corn was grey. How can I purchase standard grilling grates for this grill?

Asked by: brentsowul
We're sorry to hear this. We only recommend using the grates designed for your grill. How are you normally cleaning your heat tents? If grease and food particles are able to build up on them this could cause them to prematurely rust. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to best investigate this and assist.

Does the CB 2 burner Gas Grill Mod 463270615, require 2 grates above the infared plates? In the assembly manual it shows grates but there were none in the box. if they are not required does that mean you cook directly on the ss plates with all the holes?

Asked by: JimRam
This Performance 2-Burner Grill uses two infrared cooking grates. Each one is model # G519-A400-W1. This grill does not require infrared emitter trays. Give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

In reference to your 2 burner tru Infrared grills one (gourmet series) uses Porcelain grates and the (performance series ) uses SS grates...What are the advantages of one over the other?

Asked by: Nike
The main difference is the Gourmet has an infrared emitter trough and the Performance has infrared cooking grates. Both of these infrared emitter types allow for excellent heat control, a wide range of temperatures and delicious juicy flavors. Obtaining hotter temperatures faster means that less propane is used. Both grill types are equally matched. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to provide more information.
