Performance Series™ 2 Burner Gas Grill is rated 4.0779 out of 5 by 231.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to clean, rusts real easy, not built to last I bought this grill last summer, and it was great for the first few uses. The food turned out great! But now, the burners are already rusting, which I will probably have to buy a new grill soon :-( The weld on the door rack came apart, so the rack fell off. The grilling surface is hard to clean since the holes are so tiny and everything gets stuck in them. Any little wind blows out the flame. And the thermometers have stopped working. I am not pleased at all with this grill. It was not worth the price one bit! The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because the food turns out good and it cooks pretty fast, but I'm sure I can find a better, sturdier gas grill that can do the same!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS GRILL I have had this grill almost 3 years now and it is kept outdoors year round. There is no rust on it anywhere and everything still works perfectly. I cook the best burgers and steaks ever....and I have been barbecuing for 40 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST EVER I have owned several gas barbeques. Generally they have been ok, but hard to keep clean, rust out in a few years, and heat unevenly. When I bought this Tru-infrared I suspected that it might be clever product description but not particularly different. I was most pleasantly surprised. I love it, it cooks quickly, meat, poultry and fish stay juicy. The stainless grills are terrific and easy to keep clean. I like the feature where the temperature reading refers to the grill surface rather than the ambient air within the hood. So far I haven't found anything that displeases me about this little wonder. Get one yourself and you'll see!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from becareful of the timy little holes I liked it until I could no longer clean the tiny little holes under the grate that was suppose to give you that great taste. You can't get them clean!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Infrared! I purchased Char-Broil TRU Infrared and thought it would be better then the normal Char-Broil grill. Paid more for Infrared. There is more cleaning issues since the holes on the stainless grill are very small & gets clogged. Also the grill lid is stainless and shows finger prints, etc. Poor choice on my part

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Prodcut, Excellent Customer Service I had my Charbroil Tru Infrared grill for just over a year and have to say that it is the best grill I have ever owned. I am quite please with the look, and more importantly I am extremely pleased with Charbroils customer service team who went out of their way to help me get a few parts that were damaged in a storm. They didn't have to help me, but they did and that showed me that they really value their customers. I am very appreciative...replacing the parts that they provided me would have been very costly and quite frankly, not worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The TRU infrared is great. I bought the CharBroil T-22 a couple of months ago. The assembly was fairly easy, even with some holes that weren't tapped, and extremely tight places for the fingers etc. The instructions were adequate but a couple of places out of sequence for correct assembly. Over all, the grill is a little wobbly, it needs better bracing! A brace in the back should do the trick. It took over 4 hours for me and a lady friend to assemble, but I am 80 years old so I can't fault the manufacturer. Followed the instructions on breaking in the grill (grids) and have enjoyed exceptional cooking ever since. Just remember to clean the grids after each use like the book says.

I bought this grill (performance type 2 burner) and was very disappointed.  I just found out that this is very very hard to clean compared to my friends gourmet type 2 burner grill.  Unlike the Gourmet series which has a tray and no small holes.

Could the cooking grate be washed in a dishwasher?

Asked by: Dianeg213
No. To best clean these grates we recommend a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable grill cleaner. Seasoning the grates with canola oil will also help to keep food from sticking and prevent rust. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

My 2 year old Char-Broil 3 burner grill no longer will get more than a very minimal flame flame then go out even after trying with 3 different new gas tanks. What can I do to fix this problem

Asked by: flame out
We're sorry to hear this. Has the regulator been reset? If the grill is turned on or off incorrectly it can cause the safety device in the regulator to trip. This will cause a low flow and the regulator will need to be reset. This is an easy procedure that involves unhooking the regulator from the propane tank for a minute and then reattaching and following the lighting instructions on your grill. Make sure that when your grill is turned off that the grill is shut off first and then the propane tank. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

I just received the 2 burner performance grill as a present from my wife. I'm a bit confused about the grates. Do I put the black steel grates on top of the stainless infrared grates with holes?

Asked by: pao333
Congrats on your new Performance TRU-Infrared Grill. There are not cooking grates that sit on top of the cooking grates in your grill. Please provide us with the model number for your grill and we can give more information. This model number should be on the rating label, on the back towards the bottom of the grill, and also on the front cover of the product guide. The model number normally begins with 46.
