Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome Grilling Infrared grills are the way to go if you desire juicy food, less grilling time and less gas usage. The only problem that I have is keeping the porcelain grates cleaned, I tried Char-broil suggestions Biodegradable Cleaner and Nylon Brush with no luck at all keeping grates cleaned even tried detergent and hot water with still no satisfaction.I spend more time cleaning the grates than I do grilling this is the only down fall about this grill. The grates are a true pain to clean, I try my best and still season with the canola oil. Being advanced and grill at least 3 to 4 times per week, I learned just to live with it, but wish it was not this way always had great luck with my Char-broil grill. I would recommend this product to a friend only if they have patience to clean these stubborn grates

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it... Mostly I bought this a couple months back because my local store was having a 40% off sale. It was worth it! Upsides: Easy to assemble. Grab a six pack, a screwdriver, a wrench, and a buddy. Most of it comes reassembled. You just have to make the frame and then everything bolts together. You only need a friend because the top of the grill is heavy (and so that your wife doesn't get angry at you for drinking the entire six pack). Cleaning is easy! The grates are all coated, so after letting the grates cool down we just run them under some hot soapy water with a nice dishcloth, and BAM spotless! Heat distribution. I've seen too many grills that heat one section hot as pavement in New York in July, while the next section is as cold as Antarctica in the Winter. This one? Even heat when you want it, uneven heat when you don't! With 3 separate burners, you can truly have 3 heat zones... Plus a side burner! Thermometers. instead of relying on a random thermometer on the top of the lid, this grill has them right at the level of the grates. no more guessing on temp, you know how hot the grill is! Now for the downsides: Sometimes it heats too much, too quickly. It took a little experimenting to figure out how to get the temperature to stay down. For those of you familiar with indirect cooking you won't have any issues though. Time: now I never have time for anyone else because I'm always grilling! My wife and I eat so much healthier now that we can grill our veggies. Now as long as I remember to go to work all will be fine! Bottom line: get the grill, you won't be sorry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grills great, nightmare to clean I bought this grill from a local retailer after my old Ducane finally gave up. I picked it up, and on the very first day hosted a Easter weekend pool party and BBQ for 20 people. So the pressure was definitely on to perform. That evening I did NY strips, chicken breasts, skewered chicken and veg kebabs, Italian and English sausage. The grill was absolutely packed! I was ecstatic with the results... the NY Strips were perfectly med-rare, and everything had those sexy char-lines, was tender, juicy and delish. The infra-red feature is most definitely NOT a gimmick. Temperature across the entire grilling surface was consistent and easy to control. Now for the downside... I spent 2 hours the next day trying to clean the grates!!!! Instead of your regular grates, the infra-red system on this BBQ uses 3 solid plates with V shaped channels as the cooking surface. Think of a profile view that looks like this... VVVVVVVVV... across the grilling surface. At the bottom of these V channels are very small holes that allow the heat through from the burners. Any liquids will obviously pool into the bottom of the channels and drip through the holes. In our case the marinade for the chicken ended up pretty baked in, and clogging some of the holes in the bottom. As the grill plates are finished with some type of porcelain coating,(not say like more durable cast iron) the cleaning instructions are very clear to not use any harsh abrasive cleaning products, or steel wool, wire brush etc. This lead to 4 hours of soaking, followed by 2 hours of elbow grease to try get them clean/unblocked, without damaging my brand new BBQ. Not something I will be doing after every use, I can guarantee. The grill works great, but it will be limited to dry seasoning and rubs from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkable Results I have used my new Char-Broil Tru-Infrared grill and was highly impressed of the outstanding results of hamburgers, pork steaks and the most amazing cooking a pot roast that was as good as a high grade sirloin steak. It completely changed my family in believing that a pot roast can be as good as steak when cooked on a Char-Broil Tru-Infrared grill. My company that I served the pot roast (steak) to could not believe that it cooked in twenty minutes and was good an juicy as a good steak. I told them that I believe the Char-Broil Tru-Infrared grill is what made that cut of meat so outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True to advertising Had it long enough for 3 grill sessions. Discount the 1st time because I had the Temperature probes installed improperly. Since getting that straight (thanks to son-in-law), confirm that it cooks faster & eliminates flare-ups. With multiple burners, I can see how you could cook with very low temperatures for BBQ or Roast Pork for example, also Beer Butt Chicken would work great on this grill. The key is that ALL cooking is indirect heat. Best grill I've ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Advertised So many times I have been let down by products being inferior to there advertisement. Needless to say I have been pleasantly surprised and happy that I took a chance on this new and improved grill. It preheats in a hurry and cooks just as fast. I have yet to experience a dried out piece of meat even when cooked longer than I should have. I didn't realize how much of a difference this grill would be to a standard grill. You really do not have to use as much propane it's amazing. You will have to play around with a burners a few times to get your desired grilling experience. Also impressive is how sturdy it is. It even comes with a weight to attach to the bottom underside of the grille to help keep it weighted down from blowing over as well as a couple brackets to keep it from twisting inside. Also, the four wheels on caster are sturdy and make for maneuvering in and out of the garage simple.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Labor intense cleaning and rusting in a 1 yo grill I have used my 1 year old Char-Broil grill (model 463335014) only a few times, mostly because the porcelain WWWWWWWWWWW grill top is so hard to clean! After I cleaned it the first time, I tried to return it to Wal-Mart but they wouldn't take it back. Yesterday while cleaning it once again, I see the "heat tents" are rusting. While I love the way the food cooks and tastes, the cleanup just isn't worth the effort. I've had 3 non- "Tru-Infrared" Char-Broil grills in the past and each lasted a long time. At the current rate of deterioration, I'll be surprised if I get another year or two out of it. Also, I've noticed that there appears to be at least 3 different Tru-Infrared designs: slotted grill top (mine), grill top with holes, and a cast iron grill top (the more conventional design) in the past year. Maybe Char-Broil is still trying to get it right.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a very good grill I like there products, but this model grill # 463335115 three burner is a real pain to clean the grates. It will not char the food at all,it should have a recalled and giving new grates.

There is an opening at the top back of the grill by the firebox I live in snow country do all grills have that opening? Can you tell me the difference between model 4634351115 and 463234815? What grills have the 2 grate system v covered by cast iron

Asked by: Cook and clean
Both of these are Performance 3-Burner TRU-Infrared Grills. The main difference is the cart assemblies. Neither of these grills have openings in the back of the firebox. The two grate infrared system is used in our Commercial Series TRU-Infrared Grills. Take a look at model # 463242515. This is the Commercial Series 3-Burner Grill.

Hello. I believe I have an older version of one of your three burner grills. I need some replacement parts but don't know exactly where to find the model number that I have. Any help would be appreciated. Is it also possible to get an manual for this

Asked by: meatnchicken
The grill model number should be on the rating label, on the back towards the bottom of the grill, and also on the front cover of the product guide. The model number normally begins with 46. Follow this link for more information... http://support.charbroil.com/help/parts/find-my-model#charcoal
