Performance™ 4 Burner Gas Grill is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Advanced Features at an Affordable Price Simply put, I love this grill! I bought the grill about 1.5 months ago at Sears for $420. This is my first non-traditional grill and I must say that it makes it a snap to evenly cook tender, juicy meats with ease. The grill itself is made from a very sturdy stainless steel for many of the parts. Assembly took about 2 hours altogether and was relatively easy to do. Not only it is very functional, it is beautiful in design . Some advanced features on the grill include the Tru-Infrared cooking system, Surefire ignition, ability to add wood chips directly on the grate without the need of a smoker box and holes on both side tables of the grill for the Gear Traxx accessories line of products (side bins, hooks for hanging grilling utensils and more). I will say that I was worried about how easy it might be to cleanup the grill considering the cooking grates have semi-small holes. I was pleased to find that all food debris turns to ash during your preheat phase and easily cleans off with a wire brush, effectively making cleanup a snap. I've used it at least two times each week for grilling and overall, I've found the grill to be a great product at an affordable price.

The flames are not very high on the burners. Is this the way they should be because it is infrared? They seem to have decreased for some reason. I need trouble shooting assistance.

You Must be sure to turn the valve on at the tank BEFORE you turn on any control knobs.  If not you will activate a safety feature that restricts gas flow.  To fix 1. Open grill lid. 2. Turn off all knobs on control front panel.  3.  Turn of tank knob.  4disconnect regulator from propane tank. 5.  Wait 30 sec.   6. Reconnect regulator to tank.    7.  Slowly open propane tank knob all the way.  Don't force it once in the full open position.  8.  Turn on appropriate control knob and light. These instructions came in my charbroiled tru-infrared grill pamphlet that came along with the directions.  Phamplet is titled " understanding char-broil Tru-infrared.

Are the infrared burner plates made of stainless steel or regular steel?

Asked by: Joesph
Hi Joseph - I believe they are made of regular steel. They have a heavy black heat resistant coating over them to avoid wearing out quickly. -Brandon
