Performance Series™ 2 Burner Gas Grill is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Great...Not Bad Bought based on the marketing hype and fairly disappointed with the grate system on this. Literally gets clogged after 1-3 uses and then the heat is very uneven and the grill barely heats up above 350 degrees. Huge design flaw with this grate system - actually pretty sorry I bought it. But, it does work OK - just takes a lot longer! Also, be very aware of all the smoke this throws off - the food does taste better and it actually is juicier - in case smoke is an issue for you (for me it's not). If I had the choice I would have bought another model/brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First BBQ 12 sirloin burgers Our first BBQ was with 12 sirloin burgers from COSTCO. They just fit on the surface and were all done at the same time. This grill does NOT have the "grate level temperature gauges" as it states it does on page 4, of the Grilling Guide. Lid gauge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grill! Super easy to use. Heats up super quick. Food is ready in minutes. Both meat and fish grills perfectly - never overdone, charred on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best This is the best grill I have used in my life! All the way from price, timeless design to net result: less space (fold-down sides) and better faster cooked food.

I received a new set of cooking grates to replace the original ones that had started to rust. Is there any special prep or break in instructions for the new ones before I put them in service to keep them from rusting?

Asked by: Big Dave 51
Seasoning the grates with canola oil will help to keep food from sticking and prevent rust. You will give the grates a light, even coat of the oil. Then you will let it burn off for about 15 minutes of until it stops smoking. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

I am very unhappy with the grill grates. Everything sticks no matter what (coated with oil, coat food with oil etc.) I have to clean them with every use by soaking. Are there any other grill grates available, such as stainless steel that can be used?

Asked by: KPearce
We can only recommend using the model specific grates to ensure the grill will work as designed. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to best investigate this and assist.

Is there a stainless steel 'infrared' thing with little holes with a cast iron regular grill grate over the top of them? I can't seem to find a picture of this particular grill's "grill" online. The commercial version does this. Is this one the same?

Asked by: NickBruesch
No. The Commercial Series Grills and the Professional Series Grills utilize porcelain-coated cast iron cooking grates with infrared stainless steel emitters. The Performance Series Grills use TRU-Infrared cooking grates. Some of the Performance Series Grills have stainless steel grates and others have porcelain grates. Give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.
