After grill shopping for a few weeks, I debated on just getting a small travel size grill or this one. I am so happy I ended up with the patio bistro grill as my first grill! It's the perfect size for a single woman and is so easy to use. It's also easy to move around my patio and I love the look of it. I just ordered the pizza pan and can't wait to use it on the grill!
In late February or early March, I purchased the Patio Bistro as we have a townhome with a wrap around patio. The bistro looked compact and when it arrived I assembled it myself with virtually no problem. The automatic ignitor never worked and after repeated contact with Char-Broil, I did finally receive the correct part and to date it is now working like a charm. My husband has a tremor and the button ignitor is what he needs vs. match lighting. This product is excellent and makes a killer ... steak. The service at Char-Broil while sometimes was frustrating to get the right part, was good. They really never let the ball drop. It may have taken some time, but I gotta admit, customer service was excellent. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat!
I have used my Bistro numerous times and it is everything previous reviews I read had to say. It cooks food very quickly and hardly any flare ups. Easy to clean and maintain. However, there is one problem-there is no handle on the unit for moving it around the patio or wherever. You have to use the towel holder for that function. It's the only part of the unit I found sturdy enough to use for this task. Other than that, it's a great product!
I bought this as a gamble I already have a oil fryer but it takes too much time for prep and clean up . Cooking time is longer with the charbroil but the overall time is shorter and the flavour of the food is equal and also you have more options of what you can cook in the big easy . The only change I would make is instead of a basket for the turkey , have a base with a rod up the middle that would support the turkey with a hook at the top for removing , then sides of turkey would not stick and ... would be easier to remove to a platter .
first time user. Did as instructions said and read a few reviews and recipes before using. Cooked in exact time recommended. I did make sure the fryer wasn't affected by the wind. Rubbed turkey in peanut oil and then a mixture of spices, put in pan and covered with foil and let marinate over night in refrigerator. The bird came out looking fantastic. The finale proof was that two people said this was the best tasting turkey they ever had. Can't wait to try ribs.
When I found out about the Big Easy, I about flipped. A oil less deep frying, that was my biggest compliant was the messy oil. So, I used my sister and brother-in-law as my guinea pigs and bought them one for Christmas and we used it right then. My brother-law is a hunter and had plenty of game on hand. We cooked up some pork rump or butt, I forget the cut. We seasoned them babies up with some Cajun and those were some of best pork oh man. I had to go get myself a Big Easy, been cooking up ... chickens, ribs, hens, duck everything is awesome. Go get yourself a Big Easy and no more oil to clean or mess with.
If you are tired of squirting flare-ups on simple grate style grills, this is the one for you. This is my first infrared grill and I love the cooking experience vs regular grills. Not only does the unit stay good looking (unlike grills with Stainless Steel shells), it cooks great without flare ups. Also warranty is outstanding with 5 years on most items. I travel full time in a fifth wheel and use this grill all year long.
Bought this just prior to Jeep Beach. Grilled up 10 Pounds of Picanha Steaks. They were delicious. The grill performed fantastically even though the fat is heavy on these steaks so you need to keep it closed to avoid flare ups. Can't wait to try some slow roasting items. Would have given 5 but cleaning the grill after use is a challenge due to the design of the cooking surface. The carrying case is great to pack or store...
I have bought grill for the patio about every 5 years but I have bought one for camping almost every year. Both were complicated to set up and didn't really work that well. The Char-Broil TRU-infrared Grill2Go has taken the place of both. There are a very few parts and they are easily replaceable and with two quick snaps of the buckles, it it ready to go.
I bought this bar-b-que because i bought one in 1998 and it lasted 16 years. It does great ribs, fajitas, steaks, smoked sauage, and burgers. It has all of the features that I need.
I have had this grill for over a year and I love it! You have room for two full racks of ribs or a boatload of chicken and burgers or a celebration of veggies that can cook at their proper temperatures thanks to two levels of grilling or smoking genius!
I love it!! I was also able to find a side smoker firebox model# 11201715.
