Bought this grill for smaller amount of grilling instead of taking out the big grill. however you still can make a good amount of meat on this grill. I read that depending on how much meat and what brand of charcoal that it was suggested to use about only 50 coals, I was skeptical about that but went ahead and tried it. I used 50 coals of Kingsford charcoal and it really did last. I made a good amount and when it was all done it still had heat and i could have cooked more. Putting the grill together is easy, manual only has pictures but pretty easy to follow. You cant beat the price this good working grill.

Best charcoal grill you'd find anywhere.
I bought this grill from Lowes a few days ago and so car it's treated me better than any of beers grills. I will never go back to any other grill Company.

Bought this grill about 6 weeks ago and having a ball cooking with it. Have not used charcoal in years so it takes some practice. "Beer can" chicken is the best. Great for searing, but much quicker cooking time for steaks and burgers. Have not tried fish yet. Easy to clean. Did not realize how much I missed the flavor and aroma of real charcoal and smoking chips!
This grill cooks food better than I could imagine. I have grilled steaks, smoked ribs, chickens, turkeys, and all kinds of vegetables. It burns evenly, helps the coals stay hot longer and shows no sign of wear even after a year.

You Own the Summer!
I have had this grill for over a year and I love it! You have room for two full racks of ribs or a boatload of chicken and burgers or a celebration of veggies that can cook at their proper temperatures thanks to two levels of grilling or smoking genius!

My Second One
I bought this bar-b-que because i bought one in 1998 and it lasted 16 years. It does great ribs, fajitas, steaks, smoked sauage, and burgers. It has all of the features that I need.
Just bought the grill on 5JUL2014. Have wanted one since I saw my friend's in 1978. For one reason or another I never had purchased one. Over fifty years I have had Weber kettles, Weber gas, a couple of stainless JennAires all of which pale next to the 940. I am 68 years old and assembled it myself even though it was a bit fussy. Cooks great!!

This is the heavy artillery
I have had my CB 940 for about 25 years. I can tell you that this is the top of the line charcoal grill in the commercial business. What separates this grill from the others is the adjustable fire grate. The design is simple (you manually adjust the height, no cranking gizmos or gadgets) thus eliminating maintenance so you can sear a steak or slow smoke a roast or chicken. Air flow control is well thought out and I can see that the design has not changed since I purchased mine. Also it is big enough to cook 6 full chickens. It is constructed of long lasting materials (cast iron cooking grates, cast aluminum hood enclosures/ fire box door and the body is sheet metal with a good paint job) so obviously it will last a very long time. I'm 58 and if I continue to take care of mine it will last me the rest of my life. Glad to see that they are still built!
