Good grill but would prefer a gas or charcoal gril
Bought this grill because my condo complex doesn't allow gas or charcoal grills. Nice grill, doesn't fee cheap and was easy to put together. Gets pretty hot and grills steaks really nicely. Miss being able to do indirect grilling for chicken. Hope in a future version there will one element on each half so you can turn one side off. Then again, the grill may not get hot enough.. Oh well. Pretty pricey, you can buy almost 4 Weber Smokey Joe Grills for the same price and grilling real estate ... read more but, if you are in the same boat as me, this a few other electric grills are your only option.

    Nice product
I love the way it cooks. However, it's hard to clean below the grill.

Cooking Great, Portability Not So Great
I have now had enough time to rate my recent purchase of the Patio Bistro. My reasons were compact size, portability and convenience. First, its overall quality appears above average. Performance-wise, heating to desired temp takes about 10 to 15 minutes but it does have difficulty maintaining the temp on breezy days. It provides a nice char to meats and they remain juicy and tasty, veggies do not dry out and are flavorful, and I've even cooked a couple of pizzas with great results. Since ... read more part of the grill's appeal to me was to be its portability, its unfortunate it does not have handles on its sides to make it easy to carry. In spite of its compact size (it has some heft) it is very awkward to move as designed. Given its price-point (expensive), how it is marketed, and its lack of common sense handles (someone on the design staff was asleep at the switch with this omission), I could barely justify my 4-star overall rating.

    Just got it
Just assembled this - 1 hour without rushing. I haven't used this yet so I cannot comment on how well it works. I do know that it took all of 23 minutes to get to about 535 degrees. It never did hit 550. My question is how are you supposed to remove the controller? Instructions advise to bring this unit indoors, but it looks like you would have to unscrew at least 4 screws every time you used this. Is there a magic button I am missing or something? Seems to be made well.

    great little grill except
I really like this grill except: The heat: (1.) If you Open the hood the temp drops considerably. (2.) We had a previous model from Char-Broil that had another shelf below the burner with Bricketts on it. That really helped with heat loss. I was wondering if there was a something like that I could get for this model. (3.) You really shouldn't use an extension cord with this grill because a longer cord will affect the amperage which affects the maximum temp. (4.) You should plug this or any ... read more electric grill into a circuit that doesn't have much else plugged into it or you will trip circuit breakers. I have a dedicated circuit that only goes to the area of the grill.

I'm so glad we got this!
I bought this for my husband for Father's Day, and we've already used it several times. We had a kettle grill for decades, but hadn't used it for the last several years because there are just the two of us, and it was too much hassle to heat it up for the minimal amount of cooking we would have used it for, plus I was concerned about safety. This small electric grill is absolutely perfect for us. We've done brats, burgers, chicken legs and chicken breasts so far - and everything was perfect - ... read more and I am an electric grilling newbie!
