Gas Grills

    I love this grill, but.
This is a great grill. Cooking is even, no flare ups, juicy meat. The only problem is with the trough. I cook a lot and at high temperatures. Cooking at high temperatures caused the trough to warp. This happened under warranty and Char-Broil promptly replaced it. Now it is not under warranty and its happened again. I love the grill, but.

    Top notch!
I've been impressed with how quickly and evenly this grill cooks. Not having an open flame takes a little getting used to, but makes so much sense. I don't know if I'd go back. Can still get grill marks, but not uneven cooking or searing. Food is noticeably juicier. Seems easy to maintain. Hoping the flame cover will make the burners last longer. Side burner is always a plus.

    Great home grill
I bought the grill before Memorial Day. I shopped around for about a week and settled on Char-Broil for its positive reviews online and the fact I could get 3 burners and a side burner for the same price as a competing brand's 2 burner (and no side burner). I set it up myself and while I (and the instructions) recommend having at least two people work on it due to weight, assembly really wasn't that difficult. Ignition is a breeze and it heats up quickly. I find cooking to be easy as well and ... read more the food remains juicy.

    On our second one!
This is our 2nd Tru-System 2 burner model.  Our first was the Lowe's version that did not have a trough but a plate under grates.  It worked well for us for 5 years but developed some corrosion issues, even covered, so we went looking again and decided on the trough style this time.  Used it last night, for first time, and it cooked the steaks as well or better than the other model and even "well-done," cheap, thin little steaks came out fine and left a HUGE puddle of juice.  I am a med-rare guy ... read more but they got away from me, haha.  Thank goodness for the juice-saving, searing properties of the Tru-System!  They still tasted great and were very juicy. It may not be the most sturdy but does and excellent job of cooking.

    Amazing in so many ways....
I downsized from a 5 burner w/ side burner etc. mega grill this model for 2 main reasons: 1. I was tired of wasting so much gas heating up a huge grill for usually 2 pieces of meat and 2. I wanted to try/use the Infrared feature this brand of grill offers. On both counts I am overjoyed with the change. I know this is a "small" grill, but it really is not. I can easily fit grilled servings for 6-8 adults, but I almost never need to cook this much. I love the smaller footprint not taking up so ... read more much space on my deck. and the TRU-Infrared feature makes a novice griller like me look like an expert!! So far everything I have grilled has been cooked to perfection with no burning or drying out!

    Best Ever
I have used this grill for 3 years and it is the best of the many I have had. Grill is still like new except for the "reflector pan" which I replaced about a year ago. Next time I will buy the 3 burner because I occasionally need more heat input, not because I need more grill area. I just do not understand why Char-Broil does not make more of these and make them more available.

Best grill I have ever owned
I have bought grill for the patio about every 5 years but I have bought one for camping almost every year. Both were complicated to set up and didn't really work that well. The Char-Broil TRU-infrared Grill2Go has taken the place of both. There are a very few parts and they are easily replaceable and with two quick snaps of the buckles, it it ready to go.

good unit for it's size and design
I like this table top model because I've used many others of the same type and this one works best. The price, on sale, was a good value. Most other makes aren't as well designed and cost lot more, like Weber. This unit also gives a good and spacious cook surface. The only issue is it is hard to get the temperature low enough on for cooking slow or baking. My solution is to prop open the lid to regulate the temp. If you had an adjustable vent or a way to safely open the lid up to 1 to 4 inches ... read more it would be perfect. All in all a very nice unit-- it could be the best one available with a few small changes..

    portable grill
I have had this grill for not even a year. The lp gas regulator leaks when using small portable lp gas bottles. When researching for part, it is not available. This makes this portable grill no longer portable as the only option available is to hook it to a large gas bottle. Not exactly what I want to do when camping. But Charbroil customer service is super and are sending off a new regulator. So I am happy. Also there is no way to regulate the heat in this unit. The only way is to cook ... read more with the lid up at all times otherwise the temperature goes off the scale. So you are searing the meat and boy does it cook fast. But it is small and you can cook at least 4 good size steaks without a problem. I love it. I have stuck with Charbroil Infrared products for the past 10 years and have never been disappointed in the product.

    Excellent Little Grill
I owned this grill for five years and it finally gave up the ghost. I just bought another identical one because you cannot beat the price for what it is. I would not recommend it for the grilling aficionado who aspires to be another Wolfgang Puck, but it is a great little grill for the family cook-out and it does a good job.

    Great little grill!
This is our second purchase of this model. Our first lasted 5 years of being used rain or shine, snow, sleet, freezing rain! We used it about 3 times a week, year round. I just finished putting the new one together, took me under an hour! (First one was pre-assembled) Just right for my husband and I, or when a few people come over. Plenty of room for 8 burgers or whatever. Yes, it will flare up a bit with fatty meats, as with any grill.... keep an eye on it, don't walk away, your food will not ... read more monitor itself on any grill! Lol Awesome grill, great deal.... Love it!

    Great little grill...
I had bought one of these about five years ago and it had rusted out (my fault for not buying a grill cover) and it finally gave way when I moved this summer. I saw this on sale at my local Lowe's and had to buy another one. For the money, it's a great little grill and would definitely recommend.
