    Nice little grill
If you don't entertain much, and only cook a couple to steaks, or three or four burgers at a time, this grill is for you. Its easy to put together, isn't heavy, and doesn't take up a lot of space. It warms up quickly and the small firebox concentrates the heat inside. The only drawback I can find is that it doesn't come with the gas bottle- so you're going to have to shell out for one if you don't already have one.

    Good for the money.
I was surprised that I could not buy it in the store but had to go on line to get it. The good part was it was here in 2 days and no shipping charge. It is some what flimsy but it is light and works well. It would be good for a small family or couple to use in a limited space. The price of $99 makes it a good deal

you get what you pay for
I have had this grill over seven years we keep it over at our summmerr place. To be honest we use it in the summer more than the winter and is kept in my storage shed with a cover on it. All my friends and relatives use it also when they are at our place. I replaced the hardware for the grill mounts, handle, and rack as we would be wheeling it in and out from the shed. The hardware that came with the grill was lite weight so I switched it out for good 1/4 inch nuts, bolts, and washers. Like all ... read more grills if you want them to stay working and in good shape you have to clean them they don't clean themselves. Some might say put them on high setting and let it burn off the crust but a phyiscal cleaning in addition is best...I am buying another for home. My huge -rinkman gave up after ten years and there is only two of us now.

You have to buy this grill before you die
The grill is fantastic, although you will have to retrain yourself a bit because of the speed/heat it cooks at. The meats you grill will be juicier than you can ever imagine and even when you make a mistake, like I have, the grill is forgiving in that matter. The mistake is wanting a steak, medium rare, and this is where the retraining comes in, the steak ended up medium well... ruined steak right ?... nope the infrared cooking seared the juices into the steak as advertised and it was delicious. ... read more The even heat you get all over the cooking surface is a key also to whatever you're grilling. You will NOT be disappointed if you invest in this grill, it's money well spent plus you save on LP because of the speed/heat it cooks at. If you need a grill, THIS is the one you need to get.

    wow ! ! wHAT A DIFFERENCE ! !
I've been grilling since before it became chic - - Daddy would build a fire of hickory limbs down by the river, let it burn down to coals and lay a refrigerator shelf on rocks over the coals. Since then (over 70 years), I've burned out a dozen charcoal, later gas, grills. Never quite got my steak right - - until now. The heat is more even on my Gourmet 4 burner, more intense, so I can get that initial searing that seals in the flavor - - immediately lower the heat, finish on the warming shelf, ... read more and viola ! ! Fantastic steak. Also does wonders on fish (planked salmon, delicious) - roasts, turkeys, on the rotissere and enjoy. Use it year round and enjoy the results.

I got this one to replace my older Red Infrared that still works. Used the first time today and was impressed with the porcelain coated troughs for one thing. Will see how long they last. Had to replace my other one's a couple times. I wanted the troughs rather than the heat emitter pans shown on other grills. Can hold a pile of wood chunks when I want to smoke something. I'd strongly recommend the Gourmet grill to anyone!

We Have Tried IT!! and IT is great!
We finally decided to try the all new "infrared" bar-b-que. Yes we were a little nervous after reading the info. with the unit but everything we saw said. "it's great". Not Quiet true! Yes its cooks 'more moist', it's hotter, and it's a different approach to driveway style grilling. Getting to understand the consequences of 'infrared' is a little tricky. Firstly, it's a grill . end of statement. secondly use common sense, check that the meat is fully cooked the usual way, cut it open. It's when ... read more its on the table that you notice the 'real difference' It tastes better: It's more moist (and thats good) especially for pork chops.: It's faster: and once you learn to brush after cooking and then "high heat clean" the grill is ready for another meal. The one danger I would tell all 'chefs', your spouse will expect more of this:beware:

    DO NOT Change this grill
I've been cooking for over 50 yrs. and have had various grills. This is the first one that I really TRUST. There is no way the flame can get out of control and flair up. Because of the unique trough design, I feel safe setting the timer to work on other parts of the meal. I also purchased your cookbook 'America Grills', these recipes are great and I'm trying new things all the time. Never thought I would cook fish and fruits on a grill. My daughter and daughter-in-law have purchased the same ... read more book and plan on buying this specific grill. Thank you.

    TRU-Infrared 2 Burner Gourmet
I've owned other Char-Broil grills and was satisfied with them. The TRU-Infrared is the best yet. The ability to grill chicken, hamburgers or pork chops without having to worry about flair-ups is fantastic. And the clean up is so easy. I will never go back to a conventional gas grill again. Thanks Char-Broil.

    Gourmet Series is GREAT
This is my 2nd Infrared Charbroil grill. The 1st one cooked great the grate/burner combo was horrible. They fell apart constantly. This one I purchased 1-1\2 years ago from Home Depot.. Great design

    I love this grill, but.
This is a great grill. Cooking is even, no flare ups, juicy meat. The only problem is with the trough. I cook a lot and at high temperatures. Cooking at high temperatures caused the trough to warp. This happened under warranty and Char-Broil promptly replaced it. Now it is not under warranty and its happened again. I love the grill, but.

As a former Weber owner, I make a point of reminding friends who own Weber's the price of this thing when they admit that the grilled stuff is better at our bbqs than theirs. There was a learning curve to not overcook, but now that I'm beyond that, I could not be more satisfied. I had an issue with an unlevel grate, but customer service took care of it right away; three new grates arrived within the week. And, with a cover, it seems to be weathering fine. I am quite impressed.

Best grill I have ever owned
I have bought grill for the patio about every 5 years but I have bought one for camping almost every year. Both were complicated to set up and didn't really work that well. The Char-Broil TRU-infrared Grill2Go has taken the place of both. There are a very few parts and they are easily replaceable and with two quick snaps of the buckles, it it ready to go.

The best on the market out there!!!!
I bought this just about a 10 month ago for our 3 week trip around the 4 states of Arizona, New mexico, Utha & Colorado. Used it every night of the trip. I am also just about out somewhere every weekend camping. I take it everywhere with me. I am told by everybody who uses it that they are going to buy one as it cooks very well in little time at all. I love this little BBQ & even use it at home when it is just me. I think my home BBQ doesn't like me any more.

    Solid Construction - Great Performance
Bought this just prior to Jeep Beach. Grilled up 10 Pounds of Picanha Steaks. They were delicious. The grill performed fantastically even though the fat is heavy on these steaks so you need to keep it closed to avoid flare ups. Can't wait to try some slow roasting items. Would have given 5 but cleaning the grill after use is a challenge due to the design of the cooking surface. The carrying case is great to pack or store...
