    Nice little grill
If you don't entertain much, and only cook a couple to steaks, or three or four burgers at a time, this grill is for you. Its easy to put together, isn't heavy, and doesn't take up a lot of space. It warms up quickly and the small firebox concentrates the heat inside. The only drawback I can find is that it doesn't come with the gas bottle- so you're going to have to shell out for one if you don't already have one.

you get what you pay for
I have had this grill over seven years we keep it over at our summmerr place. To be honest we use it in the summer more than the winter and is kept in my storage shed with a cover on it. All my friends and relatives use it also when they are at our place. I replaced the hardware for the grill mounts, handle, and rack as we would be wheeling it in and out from the shed. The hardware that came with the grill was lite weight so I switched it out for good 1/4 inch nuts, bolts, and washers. Like all ... read more grills if you want them to stay working and in good shape you have to clean them they don't clean themselves. Some might say put them on high setting and let it burn off the crust but a phyiscal cleaning in addition is best...I am buying another for home. My huge -rinkman gave up after ten years and there is only two of us now.

    Very pleased...
I got this grill as a gift from my wife for Christmas 2015.I am a first time user of the Infrared type cooking system. My old grill is standard Char-Broil gas model. The first thing I have to say is how impressed I am with the quality of the manufacturing process of this grill. This has got to be the first time I've assembled a purchased product that had all it's components and every part and every hole lined up perfectly. I was even more impressed with the steaks I cooked with using infrared ... read more for the first time 1/31/2016 which in Missouri to be able to grill in January is a treat in itself. The steaks turned out very good and the wife and I enjoyed them very much knowing the cooking experience will only get better. We are both looking forward to spring to experiment with more grilling using this great grill.

    wow ! ! wHAT A DIFFERENCE ! !
I've been grilling since before it became chic - - Daddy would build a fire of hickory limbs down by the river, let it burn down to coals and lay a refrigerator shelf on rocks over the coals. Since then (over 70 years), I've burned out a dozen charcoal, later gas, grills. Never quite got my steak right - - until now. The heat is more even on my Gourmet 4 burner, more intense, so I can get that initial searing that seals in the flavor - - immediately lower the heat, finish on the warming shelf, ... read more and viola ! ! Fantastic steak. Also does wonders on fish (planked salmon, delicious) - roasts, turkeys, on the rotissere and enjoy. Use it year round and enjoy the results.

You have to buy this grill before you die
The grill is fantastic, although you will have to retrain yourself a bit because of the speed/heat it cooks at. The meats you grill will be juicier than you can ever imagine and even when you make a mistake, like I have, the grill is forgiving in that matter. The mistake is wanting a steak, medium rare, and this is where the retraining comes in, the steak ended up medium well... ruined steak right ?... nope the infrared cooking seared the juices into the steak as advertised and it was delicious. ... read more The even heat you get all over the cooking surface is a key also to whatever you're grilling. You will NOT be disappointed if you invest in this grill, it's money well spent plus you save on LP because of the speed/heat it cooks at. If you need a grill, THIS is the one you need to get.

    Gourmet Series is GREAT
This is my 2nd Infrared Charbroil grill. The 1st one cooked great the grate/burner combo was horrible. They fell apart constantly. This one I purchased 1-1\2 years ago from Home Depot.. Great design

    Very Pleased
The first Char-Broil product I bought was the Big Easy. I can't say enough great things about. Then when I needed a new grill, it only made sense to the an IR grill. So I happened to be in my local home improvement store and saw the Char-Broil IR series. I ended up with the Char-Broil 3 burner IR grill (Gourmet version). I am very happy with the way it cooks. Uses less gas than my last grill and very easy to clean up. Definitely recommend!!

    Top notch!
I've been impressed with how quickly and evenly this grill cooks. Not having an open flame takes a little getting used to, but makes so much sense. I don't know if I'd go back. Can still get grill marks, but not uneven cooking or searing. Food is noticeably juicier. Seems easy to maintain. Hoping the flame cover will make the burners last longer. Side burner is always a plus.

    Produces wonderful BBQ
I was looking for a portable BBQ that would be an improvement over my older tabletop BBQ, and this Tru Infrared intrigued me. After getting it we initiated it with grilling salmon, and it did a beautiful job on it. I didn't realize how much oil is in salmon. The grill kept flames (flair up)from coming through. It cooks evenly, and the piazo igniter and temperature gauge are great to have.

Best grill I have ever owned
I have bought grill for the patio about every 5 years but I have bought one for camping almost every year. Both were complicated to set up and didn't really work that well. The Char-Broil TRU-infrared Grill2Go has taken the place of both. There are a very few parts and they are easily replaceable and with two quick snaps of the buckles, it it ready to go.

    infrared
this little grill packs a punch! it is hot! its fast! i love it! though it does create a lot of smoke when grilling fatty or oily meats, so may not be good for a small patio.

    Super Grill
I love this grill! The way it was designed is fantastic! I allows me to smoke meats when I want, or to use as a traditional grill. With there just being 2 of us, it is the perfect size. I could have purchased grills with more burners for less money, but the additional burners would never be used, and smoking meats would not be as easy. I have used this grill for everything from burgers, chicken, pork roasts, King crab legs, and salmon!

    Best Infra Red Grill
We gave our first Gourmet Series 2 to our son (because he was so impressed with it) and bought another for ourselves. This grill is great for everything from slow smoking to quick searing. The pan under the cooking grates make flare ups almost non existent and it also allows you to add wood chips by simply dropping them into the pan for smoking. We use this grill for baking (added a pizza stone), slow smoking, BBQ, and searing. Without a doubt this is the best grill we have ever used.

    On our second one!
This is our 2nd Tru-System 2 burner model.  Our first was the Lowe's version that did not have a trough but a plate under grates.  It worked well for us for 5 years but developed some corrosion issues, even covered, so we went looking again and decided on the trough style this time.  Used it last night, for first time, and it cooked the steaks as well or better than the other model and even "well-done," cheap, thin little steaks came out fine and left a HUGE puddle of juice.  I am a med-rare guy ... read more but they got away from me, haha.  Thank goodness for the juice-saving, searing properties of the Tru-System!  They still tasted great and were very juicy. It may not be the most sturdy but does and excellent job of cooking.
