    after allot of reading, and hands on touching, wife and I decided to try char- broil tru infrared system. its alittle more pricey than the other grills, but if I must say its well worth the money. we have been very pleased with the mouth watering foods this grill has turned out. we have had a range of different types of meat on this grill and haven't been disappointed yet. you get a nice char on the food instead of the burnt taste of many other grills from all the flare ups, no flare ups here, ... read more even the tent covers over the burners have yet to get a drop of grease on them yet. this is truly a amazing grill, and have no problem letting others know this if I see someone shopping for a new grill in stores. the side burner with the griddle great feature, veggies, meats, fruits what ever you like. the only bad thing I can think of with this grill is your stove is going to get jealous.     Cooks great
    This is the first Charbroil I've used and what a difference in grilling. My hamburgers were juicier and no flair ups on my sausages. Can't wait to try steaks..

    Even grilling no burnt meat
    I have cooked with briquette and open flame type grills for many years. I know of friends that own Weber's and watch them grill and burn their meat up, just like I used to do. This grill cooks evenly and does not have flare-up issues at all throughout the entire summer. I would definitely put this up against any open flame Weber grill or others to put the meat on the grill and close the lid and let it cook flip it once but just let it cook with the grill lid closed and see what happens.     20 degrees out and snowing on Thanksgiving Day.
    I have cooked two turkeys with this product and will never go back to a traditional turkey fryer. I gave the TRU-infrared cooking system its first run through, one month before Thanksgiving. The first bird was 14 pounds and was prepared without dry rub or injection. The temperature outside was 60 degrees. The cook time was on the low end at 10 minutes a pound, using the cover (as directed) at the end of the cook time. The result was a perfectly browned bird with a moist texture to the meat. My ... read more 2nd bird was 15 pounds and was injected (basic creole butter recipe, without dry rub) the night before cooking. The temperature outside was 20 degrees (and snowing). The cook time was on the high end at 15 minutes a pound, using the cover (as directed) during the entire cook time. The result was a perfectly browned bird with a juicy texture to the meat. My wife and I have hosted Thanksgiving for over a decade and average 30+ guests. She brines and roasts a bird in the oven and I fry one outside. At the end of the day, my bird was devoured and we had plenty of left overs from hers.

    Helped sell over a dozon of them
    I am a tailgater, at the falcon games where I ran into the marketer of the grill and he was so excited. Bought my first unit 8 years ago and on my second one now. My friends and neighbors have sampled what I have cooked and everyone owns one now. I am sitting in front of two units being wrapped as gift for Christmas gifts as I type. Looking at the accessories as gift for those that own a unit. Bah Hum bug to those that don't like the unit. Mike Pav

    Big easy is so easy !
    When I found out about the Big Easy, I about flipped. A oil less deep frying, that was my biggest compliant was the messy oil. So, I used my sister and brother-in-law as my guinea pigs and bought them one for Christmas and we used it right then. My brother-law is a hunter and had plenty of game on hand. We cooked up some pork rump or butt, I forget the cut. We seasoned them babies up with some Cajun and those were some of best pork oh man. I had to go get myself a Big Easy, been cooking up ... read more chickens, ribs, hens, duck everything is awesome. Go get yourself a Big Easy and no more oil to clean or mess with.

    fantsatic long term service
    I have had my patio caddie for 11+ years. It has never failed us! I do a complete cleaning 1X per month. I have had to replace my burner twice. I use my grill, on the aveage 3X per week. I did place a cast iron pot lid over my burner. This has afforded me the radiation effect. The porcelin cook top is great. I also use damp apple wood chips in a aluminun disposable cake pan.

    Nice grill
    I've had this grill for a few months now and it is great. I've had some difficulty trying to ignite and had to resort to the lighter method but other than that no problems. My food no longer catches on fire but I can't say that the flames don't jump up with drippings. The grill part is hard to clean but that is to be expected since it's not an open grate. Overall, good product.

    cooks great!
    I love the way it cooks. Unfortunately, the materials aren't that great and it's literally falling apart after 4 years. If I can find one on sale I will buy another because of the way it cooks. otherwise, I'll look for something else.

    Awesome Grill
    This grill cooks food better than I could imagine. I have grilled steaks, smoked ribs, chickens, turkeys, and all kinds of vegetables. It burns evenly, helps the coals stay hot longer and shows no sign of wear even after a year.

    You Own the Summer!
    I have had this grill for over a year and I love it! You have room for two full racks of ribs or a boatload of chicken and burgers or a celebration of veggies that can cook at their proper temperatures thanks to two levels of grilling or smoking genius!

    Best grill I have ever owned
    I have bought grill for the patio about every 5 years but I have bought one for camping almost every year. Both were complicated to set up and didn't really work that well. The Char-Broil TRU-infrared Grill2Go has taken the place of both. There are a very few parts and they are easily replaceable and with two quick snaps of the buckles, it it ready to go.

    The best on the market out there!!!!
    I bought this just about a 10 month ago for our 3 week trip around the 4 states of Arizona, New mexico, Utha & Colorado. Used it every night of the trip. I am also just about out somewhere every weekend camping. I take it everywhere with me. I am told by everybody who uses it that they are going to buy one as it cooks very well in little time at all. I love this little BBQ & even use it at home when it is just me. I think my home BBQ doesn't like me any more.

    good unit for it's size and design
    I like this table top model because I've used many others of the same type and this one works best. The price, on sale, was a good value. Most other makes aren't as well designed and cost lot more, like Weber. This unit also gives a good and spacious cook surface. The only issue is it is hard to get the temperature low enough on for cooking slow or baking. My solution is to prop open the lid to regulate the temp. If you had an adjustable vent or a way to safely open the lid up to 1 to 4 inches ... read more it would be perfect. All in all a very nice unit-- it could be the best one available with a few small changes..
