Searing Burner For Firebox is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from As Advertised As with all LP burners, periodic replacement is expected. I bought this burner and it is just what it is supposed to be... a direct factory replacement. Please note that in most cases the screws which secure the ignition electrode to the burner will be deteriorated. Char-Broil does not supply these screws with the new burner.

I have a model 463230512, (5 burners+sear) 3 years old. The regular burners have never put out enough flame to get a good char on a steak. So, I find myself cooking steaks only on the sear burner. Can I replace all burners with sear burners?

    Asked by: NoCharMark
We're sorry to hear of the low temperatures, but we do not recommend replacing all of the standard burners. Is the grill facing directly into the wind or has the regulator been reset? If the grill is turned on or off incorrectly it can cause the safety device in the regulator to trip. This will cause a low flow and the regulator will need to be reset. This is an easy procedure that involves unhooking the regulator from the propane tank for a minute and then reattaching and following the lighting instructions on your grill. Make sure that when your grill is turned off that the grill is shut off first and then the propane tank. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.
