Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Fit! I bought this 1 1/2 months ago as I was recommended this product to replace the factory thermostat from the Char-Broil website. I have Char-Broil American Gourmet Offset Smoker 1280, and this DOES NOT FIT my grill. The factory thermostat fit in the lid by locking into it. This thermostat isn't even big enough to cover the hole, but falls through. I would send it back but it will cost me as much as I paid for it to ship it. It looks like a good thermostat, but am upset that it doesn't fit when I was told this is what would.

I have a Char-Broil Deluxe BBQ Smoker Grill 1280, model # 14201571. It had a snap in temperature gauge that didn't show actual temperatures which fell out while moving. Will this temperature gauge fit in the same hole?

This temperature gauge DOES NOT FIT this smoker. I ordered it and it is too small to even cover the hole.

The grill I have is a very old Char broil rectangular box grill, probably 25 yrs old. The opening for the temp gauge is 2.5" in diameter. Will this unit fit my application?

Please take a look at temperature gauge model # 8966083. This temperature gauge has a 2.67" diameter and may be able to fit your grill.
