Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything they said it was and more!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased this on Fathers Day and couldn't wait for it to arrive. Assembly was a breeze and couldn't wait to start cooking. Seasoned it like the instructions said to do and then began cooking. Everything I have cooked so far has came out better than I could have imagined. Steaks, chicken, pork chops have come out nice and juicy. Could not believe how much juice the chickens had in them. Even the white meat was juicy. NO FLARE UPS!!!!!!! My wife and family are AMAZED at the quality of the food. Several of our friends are thinking of getting this. Anyone considering this don't hesitate. It is well worth the money spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's addicting! I first bought the Big Easy Turkey Fryer and loved the job it did on turkey's and chicken, then saw the SRG. I have since sold the fryer to a friend, and use my SRG constantly from chicken legs to turkey's to brats, steaks, burgers and roasts. Great ease of use, flavor, and all VERY juicy!! I think I'm going to sell my old Weber also!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect! I have been very pleased with the 3-in-1 SRG. Received a nice deal directly from Char-Broil online. I have tried wings, hens, ribs, brisket, butt, fish and veggies. Each one has been improved using the cooker. Food is more moist and flavorful while needing less attention during the cook. The ability to EASILY add wood chips for a smoky flavor is great. Flareups are non-existent and clean-up is simple. With my limited space the small footprint is a big benefit while still providing (with the multiple levels) plenty of cooking area. Another couple of half shelf inserts, however, would enhance this aspect nicely and should have been included. My only other disappointment is I would prefer the stainless steel grill to the porcelain coated steel (I was told to it would be cast iron) provided with this model. I also added a wheeled platform to the legs for easier moving about. These are small negatives for otherwise a great, economical and fun product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Smoker EVER!!! The Big Easy infrared smoker is the best, hands down. If you're looking for a smoker that is easy to use, produces absolutely consistent results, and is a breeze to keep clean, then this is the one. You can smoke one item at a time or layer several different items--it all smokes equally well. Fire it up and get the smoke going on high (about 15 to 20 minutes) then turn it to low when you put your items in to smoke. Keep an eye on the wood chip box and replenish whenever it gets low (about every 30-45 minutes.) I use digital thermometers to watch the items in the smoker too. After the smoking is done, a wire brush makes a quick clean and the basket/racks go in the dishwasher. Empty the grease catcher and you're ready for the next round. Negative comments: You have to provide your own means of monitoring the internal temperature--easy solution is just to dedicate another thermometer to that purpose. It would be nice if CharBroil added a thermometer to the side of the lid to address that. (no points off for that, too easy to fix, but get it right in the Accessories offering CharBroil!) This grill definitely earned a 5 Star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWSOME Have had this grill for about 4 months now. Recommended by a friend who bought one. I have used it for burgers, steaks, roasts, ribs, hotdogs, chicken. Everything I have cooked on it has been not only moist but the grill is so easy to use. I recommended it to a friend he bought one and his Mother-In-Law said the steaks he did were the best she has had in 20 years. I have sold the 2 charcoal grills I had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a T-I fan but like the 3-1 With the caveat that we are not "TRU- Infrared" fans (way too much clean-up mainteance in keeping all them little holes open), we like the covenience of the 3-1 for quick grilling when we need only the same temp the entire time. Lack of a hood thermometer makes smoking a learning (and wasted food) experience, but it does work. Better than a traditional smoker? Not really. Depends on how serious you are about smoking. This week will be our first turkey: from our smoking experience I expect reasonable success. In spite of the cheap control knobs, no hood thermometer, and the typical Charbroil pathetic /barely informatve manuals that came with it; after c. 6 months of about once a week use, we are satisfied with the 3-1. Is it worth $200? Hmmm . . . For the convience, yes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best outdoor cooker EVER! I've had my Big Easy 3 in 1 for over 4 years. Best outdoor cooker I've ever purchased! Oiless frying a Thanksgiving turkey has been a tradition since. I've had guests ask where I had my turkey fried so that they could use the same place because it was the best they'd ever had! Smoking meats couldn't be easier and with great results. Grilling too. Cleanup is a little but of a chore but well worth the time saved and the perfect results. Want to impress friends and family with your outdoor cooking? The 3 in 1 is all you'll need!

how can you get the food to have more smoky flavor just not enough smoke flavor in the meats. a little disappointed in the big easy 3 in 1

Are wood chips being used? Wood chips can be used in the smoker box and also in the bottom of the roaster basket. Give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

Can I convert it to natural (house) gas? If yes, what parts to do purchase and what do I need to do. I am not mechanically inclined and I need it to be simple. I don't want to mess up my new grill before I even use it.

No. This Big Easy Smoker Roaster & Grill cannot be converted to natural gas. It can only be used with a twenty pound propane tank.

Is there a model with more than a high low heat control?

I have a probe gauge with a grill temp option but it does not fit in very well. according to the gauge the lowest I was able to get was 375. I am looking for tips to loser the temp. Also can I drill a hole in the lid add a gauge?

I asked that same question about the Temp being so high and how am I supposed to "Smoke" at such a high temp. Their only recommendation was to preheat the grill at the lowest Setting (It should be about 300 degrees according to them) but I had challenges keeping the temp that low even after I preheated it as per their suggestions. I also tried to use my Grill/Food Thermometer and they said that it will not get an accurate reading even though I have used it for years on other Grill/Smokers with MUCH Success. Good Luck with that

According to the Char Broil Customer Service chat that I had, the only "Smoking" directions are to preheat the Grill on lowest setting and it "Should" stay at about 300 degrees. I mentioned to them that that is not really true "Smoking" (because I consider Smoking to be Low and Slow when temps do NOT go above 275). They apparently consider that just having some smoke flavor to be smoking even if the temp is above 300.

The hinged basket is for the smaller Big Easy models and would not work well with your Big Easy Smoker Roaster & Grill.
