Trough Firebox is rated out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by BAziz from Disappointed I loved the grill. First time ever that a chicken breast will grill juicy and perfectly done. Unfortunately in less than three years, this part (tray) corroded to the point of having holes all over and I need to replace it. I really though this grill had a better quality. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by trombonejosh from Poor Quality I've owned this grill for about 2 years. I clean the trough after every 1-2 uses, and have seasoned it several times. It still rusted thru after 2 years, and has multiple holes in it. Just not very good quality, and hardly worth replacing for $40.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mike429 from Really While the grill is not bad, this part is horrible. As you can see, I am not the only one who thinks so. Holes rusted through the part. And by the way, it is not warranted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tim from NE from Lasted 5+ years of heavy grilling! I bought my grill at least 5 years ago from HD. Grilled non-stop, and I mean all winter long for a few years, definitely all summer. And I live in New England! I didn't cover my grill, just bought it for a short time and have had it far longer than expected. Anyway, just this year there is finally a small rusted out hole in the basin. But, considering I put in an exorbitant amount of cooking, I had a great experience with this. And I never seasoned it-cleaned it as needed. No complaints here-looks like I'll be buying the replacement shortly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bobby M from Question about trough.... My unit has the trough and not the SS emitters with the tiny holes. Does the trough serve that function instead?

I have a pierced trough on my grill (# 466250212 T22D). Your specs for the replacement part (KK) say dimensions are 19.19" L x 18.03" W x 3.01" H, while my measurements of my grill are slightly smaller: 18"x17.75". Is this too much of a discrepancy?
The trough for your grill is model # G352-2100-W1.

Can I use this part for charcoal grilling?
No. This trough should only be used with specific infrared grills. It will not work with charcoal grills.

Can this part be purchased in Canada?

I own the Charbroil Red grill, model #463250211. Is the trough firebox, part #G352-2100-W1, the correct replacement part for this grill? I measured the existing one and the dimensions are: 18.03 W, 17.25 Deep x 3.01 H. Definitely not 19.19 L.
This is the correct trough for your grill.

How long are the troughs usually meant to last? I've had my charbroil red grill for 2 years, clean it very I often with warm water and a small amount of soap and a brush and over the two years I've owned it, it has corroded completely through.
We're sorry to hear this. Depending on use, the trough should last for quite some time. Give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 and we will be able to help you to get back up and grilling.

Is it normal for the Trough Firebox MODEL #G352-2100-W1 to corrode to the point of having holes everywhere in just 3 years or so? It was cleaned with soap and water every few uses... Thanks B
Yes it is. Actually they usually rust out within 18-24 months. While these grills are phenomenal at grilling, they are terrible in overall material quality, almost to the point of viewing them as disposable every 2 years. I have gone through 4 troughs and 2 grills in 4 1/2 years. This number will be 3 shortly as the trough has holes, ignition doesn't work, and the firebox that the trough sits on will rust out and the grates will fall (almost to this point now). BUT, IT GRILLS GREAT and for the price, you can afford to buy 3 over the typical life expectancy of a better W brand.
