Preheat your grill for two-zone cooking – turn half the burners to medium/high and leave the other half closed.
These decadent cheese-stuffed sliders are the perfect appetizer for any event. A little bit sweet and a little bit savory, they're sure to satisfy even the most demanding of appetites-- and flavor standards. Did we mention they're topped in bacon?
Combine the ground beef, steak sauce and 2 tablespoons of BBQ seasoning. Then, form 16 equal-size patties and press a cube of cheddar cheese in the center of each patty. Cover with meat.
Place the bacon slices on the grill for indirect cooking, close the lid and cook for 20 minutes or until the bacon is almost done.
While the bacon cooks, combine all Honey BBQ Sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes.
Place the cheese-stuffed meat patties on the grill and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side over direct heat. Brush each patty with the honey bbq sauce and top with a slice of pepper jack cheese. Allow them to sit for about 30 seconds before removing from the grill.
Assemble your sliders with a layer of honey BBQ sauce, lettuce, a grilled beef patty and a slice of bacon. Enjoy.
