Cheese-Stuffed Honey BBQ Sliders
These decadent Cheese-Stuffed Honey BBQ Sliders are an excellent appetizer for almost any event. A little bit sweet and a little bit savory, they're sure to satisfy even the most demanding of appetites and flavor standards. Did we mention they're topped in bacon?
Combine the ground beef, steak sauce and BBQ seasoning in a large bowl. Then, form 16 patties and press a cube of cheddar cheese into the center of each patty. Wrap ground beef around the cheese cube and reform patty.
Place the bacon slices on the cooler side of the grill for indirect heat. Close the lid and cook at 250°F for 20 minutes or until the bacon is almost done.
While the bacon cooks, combine honey, ketchup, vinegar, molasses and BBQ seasoning in a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes on the side burner.
Place cheese-stuffed meat patties on the hotter side of the grill and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side over direct heat. Brush each patty with honey BBQ sauce and top with a slice of pepper jack cheese. Leave on grill for about 30 seconds to melt the cheese before removing.
Assemble your sliders with a tablespoon of honey BBQ sauce, lettuce, slider patty and a slice of bacon. Enjoy.
