Ingredients Serves 4
For the sauce
1
cup orange juice, not from concentrate
1/2
cup ketchup
1/4
cup apple cider vinegar
2
chipotles in adobo sauce
1
tablespoon minced garlic
1
tablespoon granulated onion powder
For the ribs
4
pounds Korean, or flanked-cut, beef short ribs
1
teaspoon kosher salt
1
teaspoon black pepper

Combine the orange juice, ketchup, vinegar, chipotles, garlic and granulated onion in a small saucepan. Bring the sauce to a boil for 10 minutes. Remove sauce from the heat and set aside.

Preheat the grill to medium high. Add one cherry wood Char-Broil® disposable smoker box to the grill and close the lid. When the smoker box starts to smoke, in approximately 10 minutes, you are ready to grill.
Hot Tip: You can also use a Char-Broil® smoker box with cherry wood chips.

Season the beef ribs with salt and pepper.

Grill the beef ribs for 5-6 minutes per side for medium rare ribs.

Brush the sauce on the ribs for the last two minutes of grilling. Serve with additional sauce on the side.
