Ingredients Serves 4
For the burgers
pounds ground pork
cup bread crumbs
pineapple slices, 1/4 inch thick
For the teriyaki sauce
cup soy sauce
teaspoon ground ginger
Preheat your grill.
Mix the ground pork and bread crumbs together. Then, form 4 equal patties.
Place the pork patties and pineapple slices on the grill, with pork patties to one side of the grill and the pineapple on other.
Turn the burner(s) to medium heat on the side with your pineapple. Let the pork and pineapple grill for 6 minutes.
In a saucepan, dissolve the cornstarch in 1 cup of cool water. Then mix in all of the remaining Teriyaki Sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil for about 4 minutes for the sauce to thicken.
After 6 minutes, flip the burgers and pineapple slices. Brush them with the Teriyaki Sauce and close the lid.
Serve on toasted buns. Add lettuce, one pork patty, pineapple and mayonnaise or your favorite choice of condiments.
