Smoked Brisket Rub

Get your rub ready and massaging it on your meat is an important part of the smoking process.  Although this can be done about 2-4 hours before smoking, the brisket will have the best flavor if left to sit over night.  We recommend putting this brisket rub on the brisket the day before you plan to smoke.

Ingredients

Serves 1 brisket
Brisket Rub

tablespoon chili powder

tablespoon coarse salt

tablespoon brown sugar
2
teaspoon garlic salt
2
teaspoon onion powder
1
teaspoon cumin
1/2
teaspoon cayenne pepper
1
tablespoon dried oregano

Directions

Blend together the following ingredients.

Rub over the entire brisket.
