To get flavorful smoked pulled pork, use a dry rub prior to placing pork in the smoker. Allow the seasonings to have ample time to work into the meat during a long cook time. Try this easy smoked pulled pork rub for traditional BBQ flavor.

Ingredients

For the Rub

teaspoon salt

teaspoon seasoning salt

teaspoon brown sugar

teaspoon garlic powder

teaspoon onion powder
1/2
teaspoon paprika
1/4
teaspoon cumin
1/4
teaspoon black pepper
1/4
teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4
teaspoon dry mustard

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

Rub into pork generously prior to smoking.

    I have used this a few times with peach smoke, most recently went nuts and added a half teaspoon of ... wait for it ... Jollof rice seasoning. It was amazing.

    This rub is so delicious. Everyone wanted the recipe. Heres how we made it.

    8 lb Boston Butt
    1 1/2 times rub mix

    Rub all over the meat till coated well. Wrap snugly in plastic wrap.
    Set in covered bowl to marinate in fridge overnight.
    Remove plastic, place in electric smoker at 235 degrees for approximately 6 hours.
    Remove from smoker and wrap tightly in foil.
    Return to Smoker for approximately 3 more hours or until temperature is at least 195 degree.
    Let pork rest for at least
