How to Season a Char-Broil Digital Electric Smoker
Place racks, water pan and smoker box inside the smoker.
Hot TipDo NOT fill the water pan with water or the smoker box with wood chips.
Plug in the smoker.
Hot TipThe digital display will light up and a beep will sound when the unit is plugged in.
Press the Power button once; the control unit is now ready.
Press the Temp button. Then, using the Up and Down buttons, set the temperature to 275°F (max setting).
Press the Time button. Then, using the Up and Down buttons, set the time to 2 hours.
Hot TipWhen 2 hours have elapsed, a beep will sound to alert you
Press the Power button to turn off the smoker, open the door and allow it to cool.
Hot TipThe smoker will be HOT during use. Allow it to cool completely or wear protective gloves when working inside the smoker.
Once the seasoning process is complete, your smoker is ready for use.
