Commercial™ 4 Burner Gas Grill is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 163.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy if you like Rust I have purchased two charbroil infrared grills. After about two years they both began to rust and you end up having to go buy new grills because the cost of replacing the rusted parts is so expensive it's cheaper to buy a new grill. You're better off buying a more expensive quality grill that will last 5 to 7 years versus this cheap version that only lasts about 3 years. If you buy this grill, know you will be buying another grill in about three years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grill is great but the inside Parts Rust. I purchased this grill for fathers day 2015. After having it for 3 months the grates started to rust. I took pictures and call Char-Broil and they told me they would be happy to replace them but they will only replace them once for free. From day one I coat them every time after I use them but that doesn't seem to help. The grill is kept covered and is always cleaned. Now that spring is around the corner I have to replace them again. The upkeep on this grill is crazy. You will end up buying grates every year to use this grill. I would not recommend at this time to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Grill This grill cooks great. With the TRU-infrared Grill food is cooked to perfection. I cook out just about every day and it cooks 3 times faster than our gas stove in the house. I cook breakfast on it from time, the side burner with the griddle is perfect for eggs and bacon. My neighbor recommended it to me and I would like to recommend for any serious griller.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the way it cooks, just don't like the rust I’ve owned this grill for 2 years to the month, bought brand new from Lowes, and cook on it every other weekend. The function of the infrared is great and produced some awesome meals. With that said, I’ve had to replace the Emitters due to rusted away (I chalked that up to the amount that I’ve cooked on it and replaced them $60.00) but the bottom of the fire box fell off due to rust the other day. Now I’m looking at having to pay out another $85.00 to continue using this $500 grill

Where can I find startup instructions? It came with an assembly manual, but that's it. I've read that I should oil, or season, something, and I found a reference to a grilling guide, but there isn't one. Called support - not helpful at all.

Asked by: ToddWarnock
To best season we recommend coating all interior surfaces of the cooking chamber with vegetable oil. If you use a vegetable spray, wipe down the cooking chamber after spraying to ensure an even coat. Start the Big Easy and let it burn until the vegetable oil burns off and stops smoking. The shiny finish of the stainless steel cooking chamber should now have a very dark brown or bronze color.

Just purchased this grill and my question is, how do you clean the grease tray? The drip pan is removable but not the tray under the burners. Can I put aluminum foil there to catch food particles that fall down?

Asked by: Lindak1120
Congratulations on your new grill! We do not recommend covering any parts with aluminum foil as this foil may reflect the heat causing the grill to become too hot. We recommend cleaning all internal parts of the grill with a nylon brush and warm soapy water or biodegradable grill cleaner. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.

Charbroil model 463242716. Page 12 of the manual - there is a wholly inadequate drawing related to insertion of the cotter pins. What is the function of the brass knobs, and how many 'TURNS' are needed to make the burner tubes most efficient?

Asked by: BillClark71s
We apologize for any difficulties with assembly. The cotter pins will slide into slots in the front and backs of the burners to hold the carryover tubes and the burners in place. To reach the highest setting on your grill we recommend turning the control knob counterclockwise until it is pointing at the flame logo on the bezel. This should be at around 9 o'clock. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information. We will be happy to help.

What is the difference between the Professioal 4 burner and the Commercial 4 burner? I understand rusting may be an issue so is one less apt to rust? Which series is the most durable?

Asked by: Teacher 1
Both of these grills utilize the same BTUs and have porcelain-coated cast iron cooking grates with stainless steel emitters. The main difference between the grills is the slant of the lid and also where each grill is sold. The Commercial Series Grills are exclusive to Lowe's and the Professional Series Grills can be purchased through us. Please give us a call at 1-800-241-7548 for more information.
