Ingredients

For the Burger

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground sirloin
  • 4 bacon strips, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup crispy fried onions
  • 1/3 cup arugula
  • 4 slices of Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 onion burger buns
  • kosher salt and black pepper to taste

For the Garlic Aioli

  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Preheat your grill to 400°F.

In a large bowl, whisk together the egg and mustard. Then slowly add the oil, drop by drop, while whisking constantly.

Once a quarter of the oil is absorbed into the mixture, stir in the rest of the oil in larger amounts. Then whisk in the garlic, lemon juice and salt. Set aside in refrigerator.

Mix ground sirloin, chopped bacon and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 4 equal-sized patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper.

Place burgers on the grill. Cook to desired doneness, 5 to 10 minutes per side.

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each burger for the last minute of cooking. Grill cut side of buns for 15 seconds.
